despite a win, I think i'm quite upset with the performance. more clearly, the substitution and the change of formation.

What were you expecting? Us suddenly become a top-class team after such a long spell of poor performance? Thought they did enough, should've put away some chances. Sure, it's only Wigan but how important it is for us to keep pushing on for the win in order to regain the lost confidence. Next, Pompey!

Ditto Insua, however except for his own 3rd where he still makes some defensive mistakes.

Thought he did ok overall. One thing about Skrtel-Agger is that they rarely hoof and allows the team to build up attacks. If Skrtel can be more dominant in the air, I reckon we would see a future in this partnership.

Speaking of Skrtel, anybody realized that he made some forward runs but generally ignored. laugh.gif

Skrtel rubbish la. He expects mashe came in every moment. i miss johnson. He's more a threat at right compare to everyone include our cow kuyt. Insua is damn good. Its proven dat his skill make up to 1st 11 knock aurelio and dossena.

I watched this game this morning , i really appreciate the effort from David Ngog, i vote that he should get regular start , his first touch is clinical but he needs more shooting practice though.

Torres were lucky enough to scrap through the goal. Gerrard wasn't at his level best ,and if you look at him at the begining of second half , he was smiling as though they have nicked it.

But Wigan came strong with the call of duty on 2nd Half, resulted in a goal by Nzogbia, i'm pretty sure Rafa would be checking the video's again , how silly the goal was , i mean no one has challenged Nzogbia in the build up to the goal.

Aquilani , the long awaited to get a 1st 11 start , was a disappointment again. Pompey up next , we should see off Pompey, unless Grant revive the team..

better than not gaining points from clean sheets, and johnson being forced to stay back more so less points there again...i wonder when will johnson get the chance to add on to his 2 goals so far.

Added on December 17, 2009, 7:54 amand ffs wtf did lucas come on?
from what looked like a nice diamond with aurelio and gerrard pairing to marshall in front of masch...the midfield crumbled once lucas came on and went to a 4-5-1.
