QUOTE(lustman @ Aug 21 2011, 11:19 PM) Thank you very much. I've checked and it's not that cheap as mentioned by others. I think it's more economical to buy locally and don't have to go thru all the hassle. but, if can go to singapore and buy at their office directly, and somehow manage to get back to msia without paying 15% tax, it'll be quite cheap i reckon. but still has to factor in transportation costs la.

QUOTE(cruzzie73 @ Aug 22 2011, 12:04 AM) If we buy small quantity its better to buy locally, safe the hassle and not take the risks of transportation and tax. Added on August 22, 2011, 12:06 amYou may wanna add this into the list: www.silverstore.lot.my website added. yeah, if wanna go singapore and buy, i think at least 100-200oz then only can cover the cost. if buy ,monster box is better la.. haha if buy 1 tube, its just not worth it.

QUOTE(cruzzie73 @ Aug 22 2011, 12:30 AM) For coins, if you buy monster box from Singapore, or from anywhere overseas, how do you address the 15% tax at Malaysian customs? If you check the prices overseas, no matter how competitive their prices are, when you add on the 15% tax, at best you are getting a price that's just slightly lower than the lowest you can get in Malaysia. Furthermore, often the customs officer may want to open the seal of the box. if go there by car and buy, cant we like "make it dissappear" from the customs? will they check the car thoroughly? QUOTE(chef @ Sep 6 2011, 12:43 PM) Hey guys, Perth mint temporarily suspend order for lunar dragon 1/2oz, 2oz and 5oz. Too many orders and not enough production capacity to keep up. Then they are going to fulfill current orders and then start the 1/2oz coins production first. How crazy are we chinese about the dragon?!?! chef haha... even the non-chinese also went crazy to get the dragons...

QUOTE(prophetjul @ Sep 6 2011, 02:39 PM) Not sure in Msia. Even the dealers in US are not selling yet. Maybe they are hogging them for higher prices! yeah, since its the dragon, demand from Chinese markets will surely surge. add that to the recent hype/awareness of precious metals, the coins will surely hav more demand than supply. irresponsible dealers might withhold their stocks to jack the premium...
