why so much complaints but u guys are still using it.. above 1MB is good enough lar.

they did give 1 week trial, if not happy or coverage not good by that time can return back already.

u can switch back to TM streamyx, up to you, and bear with TM's lousy support, monopoly and risk of long downtimes.

the choice is yours lar, u the consumer decide. P1 ain't that bad... if u really wanna point out whose the real culprit, it's TM monopolizing the fixed line broadband and making crap outta it.

We complaint because we want people to know the actual situation faced by unhappy P1 Wimax customers. So anyone who wants to subscribe P1 Wimax may faced the very slow speed. Yes i agree the download is above 1MB but please look at the upload speed !!

The speed is good first 1 month but last 1 month its very very slow. Someone got to tell their predicament so that others can be warned.

1mb download speed is already very good IMHO....yeah...the upload is slow but then again, you are not paying RM200 for a 10mb upload link right? so you get what you paid for....

As said, i have no complaint with the download speed but since the upload is 2-10kbps, the sending of data to remote system is slow and therefore, the whole process is slow. Moreover, i take ages to email out attachment above 400kb.. u get what i mean!

I thought i would try Wimax as i have been using streamyx for years. Generally the download is good, but the UPLOAD speed sucks bigtime. That means i cant webcam to family in UK, i cant VOIP etc, it even took 2 mins to upload a very small .doc file to my hotmail.

Sometimes its good, sometimes its bad. Streamy is stable, always 420kbs upload speed.

I just got P1, i will return it, so far i find the download speed acceptable, and some times faster than streamyx, but upload speed, is incredibly slow. You can not have decent broadband without upload, how to do webcamming, VOIP, upload pictures to facebook.

Now it may improve, but i do not want to be locked into a two year contract if this is what im going to get.

Whatever it is, streamyx have always been the best in Malaysia, when i do have a problem they try to fixit. My speed is stable. STAY WITH STREAMYX.

Added on January 2, 2010, 3:01 pmThis is the problem, upload is very unstable and yours is still half that of streamyx. Try webcamming, and VOIP, yours would not be good.

Anyway they gave me 7 day trial, i have seen enough not to want to use them. They salesman in Digital Mall lied and told me i could get a refund on the spot in head office, i found out its 45 days.

The main problem i have is that they lanch a huge campaign withought haveing the capacity to cope, but they lock people into a 2 year contract, 7 day trial period is not long, and then 2 years contract, it can be very very slow, but under the terms you still have signal so can not break contract.

Its one sided contact with no consumer rights

Guys the speed depends on which area you are in.

Congested areas usually will have slower download/upload limits, and people start to complain, that's when P1 take actions. They will ask their technicians to install more towers or upgrade the towers in that particular location.

It has nothing to do with 'after-1-month-throttle'. All you have to do is complain to P1 and ask them to improve the towers nearby. Please don't go around b!tching P1.

we can jz forget the ping test actually.... wbb is very hard to achieve A in pingtest, the only major problem about p1 that occurs almost everyday is super slow upload, but at least faster than the test in my sig
