Sometimes its good, sometimes its bad. Streamy is stable, always 420kbs upload speed.

I thought i would try Wimax as i have been using streamyx for years. Generally the download is good, but the UPLOAD speed sucks bigtime. That means i cant webcam to family in UK, i cant VOIP etc, it even took 2 mins to upload a very small .doc file to my hotmail.

I just got P1, i will return it, so far i find the download speed acceptable, and some times faster than streamyx, but upload speed, is incredibly slow. You can not have decent broadband without upload, how to do webcamming, VOIP, upload pictures to facebook.
Now it may improve, but i do not want to be locked into a two year contract if this is what im going to get. Whatever it is, streamyx have always been the best in Malaysia, when i do have a problem they try to fixit. My speed is stable. STAY WITH STREAMYX. Added on January 2, 2010, 3:01 pmThis is the problem, upload is very unstable and yours is still half that of streamyx. Try webcamming, and VOIP, yours would not be good. Anyway they gave me 7 day trial, i have seen enough not to want to use them. They salesman in Digital Mall lied and told me i could get a refund on the spot in head office, i found out its 45 days. The main problem i have is that they lanch a huge campaign withought haveing the capacity to cope, but they lock people into a 2 year contract, 7 day trial period is not long, and then 2 years contract, it can be very very slow, but under the terms you still have signal so can not break contract. Its one sided contact with no consumer rights ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by fitzjust: Jan 2 2010, 03:04 PM |
