why so much complaints but u guys are still using it.. above 1MB is good enough lar.

they did give 1 week trial, if not happy or coverage not good by that time can return back already.

u can switch back to TM streamyx, up to you, and bear with TM's lousy support, monopoly and risk of long downtimes.

the choice is yours lar, u the consumer decide. P1 ain't that bad... if u really wanna point out whose the real culprit, it's TM monopolizing the fixed line broadband and making crap outta it.

As said, i have no complaint with the download speed but since the upload is 2-10kbps, the sending of data to remote system is slow and therefore, the whole process is slow. Moreover, i take ages to email out attachment above 400kb.. u get what i mean!

u have to accept it...

I thought i would try Wimax as i have been using streamyx for years. Generally the download is good, but the UPLOAD speed sucks bigtime. That means i cant webcam to family in UK, i cant VOIP etc, it even took 2 mins to upload a very small .doc file to my hotmail.

Sometimes its good, sometimes its bad. Streamy is stable, always 420kbs upload speed.

Result?
*download speed - 1.16mbps -- good
*upload speed - 0.005mbps -- F**K

one of the earliest customer, actually wimax technology is okay , greed for

more customer + money and thats why congested  accusation use now ,

they gave good speed within cooling period and then .. thats is bad . when

you ask cs - your area is congested , we try to do our our best

Complain to P1 careline if your place is congested and frequently getting disconnection so they know that the tower in that area needs to be upgraded or another new tower needs to be added.

getting tired of wireless... next will consider TMnut streamyx... no choice wireless lack the word stability.

and i hope the government could remove the monoply of TM streamyx on the local wired broadband.. and encourage more competition. Currently it's just stupid seeing only TM offering such an important service?

Hi All,

I am have a very slow upload using P1 previously. (Speed virtually - stall). And call up their CS, which is sucks too...

after complaint and complaint, they pass the case to level 2 engineer and found that its due to the signal is weak.(Dunno why, previously was ok 1).

Then they offer me an Outdoor CPE, means find the one big modem outside the house 1. with the outdoor cpe, i only can get wat RSSI -68 and CINR 24.....but the speed is back to normal, 1.2Mbps down, ~500k upload.

So if you are facing upload slow problem, i guess might due to the modem cant punch back the signal to the base station. i think u might consider to get outdoor cpe.

hope this can help

*(Streaymx is very slow in my area, i keep complaint for the same problem for more than 3 years and finally only get resolve after complaint to MCMC)
*
they bear the cost?

so far i use my P1 no problem..

but after hear so much complaint.. once finish 2 years will switch to TMnet.

P1 still got limitations, like slow upload and cant play online games... will lag teruk sweat.gif
