hey walter, any chance of 47 making a bike mount for that light? tongue.gif laugh.gif
*
I don't think 47s makes bike mounts. U can always ask them. But this size, car mount maybe la. Lol.

QUOTE(pseudoblue @ Jan 24 2010, 02:40 AM)
it'll be interesting to see how the Kong was build. Any links? I remember coming across in V1 i think

Btw, when I met walter today, it took me no more than 10mins to impulsively decide to get the Mini 123 Neutral White!! Loving that neutral tint little fella... laugh.gif And having met Makuyo, he too caved in eventually WAHHAHAHA
*
Search CPF. It's not called a Kong I think. Forgot, lol.
Lol!! Cool white fellow whistling.gif hahaha! Neutral White was the bomb! Until you've used a proper incan. NW now looks like cool white cos it's still "flat" outdoors. Now if only we can get an incan small enough with a nice output. Hmm...

thanks to my unlucky timing going to Gedece and ended up getting more than what i intended too...

im telling u guys..

this is a really hazardous place...
i did succeed in staying away for a while before..
but then...... u know la.... hahaha...

to demonstrate how poisonous it is...
yesterday i didnt remember a thing...
all i know i woke up in my bed... with a flashlight i never had before...
(ops too much hypothetical story??)

at first i wanted to say, curse you who made me buy this!!
but then i will just smile and say... lucky i met u~

once a flashaholic.. u can only pause but never quit being one...

now... if only i can make my dad notice i have this Mini 123 hanging around my neck... hehehehe

Haha! Nice to meet you man! whistling.gif

Personally, I kinda like both tints. Both have their use.

what model olight diffusers u have there?
Olight Beam Diffuser for T-series (On RRT0) & Olight Diffuser for M20 Series (On TA21).

The M20 diffuser fits on the TK heads very well, but on the TA21 head is smaller, so I cut a velcro strap, put an o-ring around it and fit the diffuser. Still looking for a bigger o-ring which will fit nicely, so it'll also be easier to put on and remove.

Warm LED not good enough. Warm LED with High CRI (>90) then I might consider. Heh!

Wow LOL!!, didn't know the poison was that strong... hee hee! notworthy.gif

Price for T-Series = USD 10.95
M20 Series = USD 11.95
There are added shipping charges as well. It's pricey but save me alot of effort looking for reliable long term DIY solution.

Damon, thanks for the link info. Elektrolumens gave good info about the Kong-12, here's a summary that I was curious and he had the answers:

- Running the flashlight at 16v. Each bank of LEDs, at 16v appears to be pulling 2.5A, so 7.5A when all 3 banks are powered up.
- 3 banks of 4 LEDs (4 LEDs in Series and Parallel of 3) - if one LED goes out, you only lose 4 LEDs and still have 8 LEDs being powered up.
- The batteries, will all go in one direction, so no need to worry about putting them in incorrectly. 12x 18650 batteries. (4x3 Series & Parallel: 16.8v, 7.8AH)
- Full power should be about 1 hour, but this depends on the batteries used.
- 6061 aluminum has copper in it (just some info)
- This flashlight is direct drive, but I add in high wattage resistors, about .75 ohms, to cut power level. I am adding in 3 resistors, one for each bank of 4 LEDs.
- Two switches, one for high (clicky switch capable of handling 120 watts), one for low.
- Anodizing is clear

Funny comic, Elektrolumen guy is also Wayne :

Added on January 25, 2010, 12:31 pmone think i like about multiple battery setups like the Kong, is they can go in one direction, the + - terminal will be wired accordingly inside. Very thoughtful haha

Like jwjy, I have them both, E2DL is very bright 2 cell light, if you have 08/09 120lms, should be as bright as todays 200lms. the bezel is rather sharp, so not good for pocket carry it. the body knurling also very aggressive.

E1B is rather smooth body, and it is very bright too, but not as bright as the E2DL.

Both light are 2 state brightness nowadays.

Its depends where you want to buy it, the price can be very much different.

bottom line, if you want to EDC, try E1B, because it is small, and brightness is good for general use.

E2DL is very good light, but it is hard to EDC because it is longer.

If you plan to use rechargeable, you have to consider these too:

E2DL has been reported can use li-on 4.2Vx2= 8.4V, but I rather not to push so hard, so I use LifePO4 3.3x2= 6.6V.

E1B has a know issue of using li-on 4.2V, its low will burst with a bright preflash then go low, pretty scary. LifePo4 is not a good choice either, because it will flicker in low.
The only workable battery is Soshine 3V (3.6V actual) or like me add a diode at the tail cap to use either lion 4.2 or LifePO4.

BTW, both lights are TIR lens, so the center hot spot is very bright, but the side spill is not as good as normal light like Fenix, Quark, Jetbeam. And the TIR 's hotspot is usually bigger than the other lights, but it still throw are crazy.

Be warned, once you touch a surefire, you can never stop.
