Hi, with budget around 200, I agree with the EagleTac P100A2 or iTP SA2. Both lights offer different UI experience though. And it depends which type you prefer.

The Quark AA^2 is at 200, you may check out with polkiuj's sale thread: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1067223 Not sure if his pre-order still open. This one has waiting period and stock availability.

Anyway, the E2e and parts (MN03 bulbs) arrive yet? US shipping is some what weird during this holiday season, I got an item bought 12/11 not arrive, but the one bought on 30/11 arrived on Tuesday. rclxub.gif besides, DX orders also upside down  sweat.gif

looks like i dont have much time so i cant get the quark..
i think i'll go for the iTP SA2 for a different UI coz i already own a TK11 and a L2T luxeon that has the same UI as the P100A2..
i jus wanna ask how is the quality of the iTP SA2 compared to the fenix lights?

The Fenix quality still overrule the iTP. Still that doesn't make iTP insignificant. We've had experience, cheaper version can out perform quality ones, lol. I've tested the S Series lights so far they bring alot of goodness and consistency to the table. It fits perfectly for your budget biggrin.gif I've also tested a SA1 for couple of days to check on the switch and output and so far there were no issues.

Will you consider a single cell? The SA1? It can run on 14500 Li-ION. Max output also increased dramatically.
*Note that S series comes with reverse clicky and tailstand boot (shorter). Installed in the light is a forward clicky. thumbup.gif

but i think i'll stick to the 2xAA as it feels better in my hand..
jus wanna ask does the 2xAA also support 2x14500?
and how does the tailstand boot work?
jus install it and the light can tailstand?

Alrighty then. The operating voltage is still 4.2v. So you can use 1x 14500 with a dummy AA tube.

To change to reverse clicky switch and boot, here's an example from http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=227518. Note that it is more or less the same, except some lights may have extra o-ring or washer.
You need tweezers to remove the ring shown below:

Do make sure if you change, the orientation is the same the way it came out and in wink.gif

Added on December 11, 2009, 1:44 pmThis vid shows how to change the switch and boot (Fenix lights example, same concept with most lights)

so the tailstand boot is just a shorter tailcap?
The rubber boot is shorter, so can tailstand yea, hence fit the reverse clicky. The tailcap is the same, crenelated.

The advantage of buying a notebook vs flashlights is that it has an installment plan! laugh.gif
