hi just wanna share my experience..i contact the person at mudah labeled branded guinea pigs..

he is selling peruvian,sheltie,taxel and even hairless which he call it as hippo..actually he got all the breeds jumbled up sheltie is peruvian and so on..that seller didnt post up the hairless breed in mudah

selling ast 400 each and he offer to sell me the hippo less than 400 a pair which are babies...the pictures he sent me they dont look like they are at tip top condition and looks pretty crouded in the cage..the price itself is bit too much what more if the price is not worth what you're paying for

if the hairless gp seller is what u claim to be the person u know who can import the breed i suggest u guys better dont get from that mudah person

yup i was asking if the price for sheltie could be negotiated since 400 for 1 is very over priced.and therefore he offered me to take the hairless guinea pigs babies which will be ready next week.offering a pair to be cheaper than 400 is i take 2.seemed from what he said to me that his 400 guinea pigs were very high in demand.sorry to barch in the thread like that i couldnt help but read threads when i'm bored and somehow this topic interest me in a way.hope everyone here dont mind

I just bought one female GP from Kaoru..name her Toffy..
really excited watching her munching all the way until sleep..haha.

but rite now she still afraid of me lor  . have to wait until she adapt to her new house. but she do eat a lot..

Orphaned cavies
If babies are rejected, or the mother dies during or shortly after labor, you will need to make arrangements to raise the babies. If you are fortunate enough to have another sow that has just given birth within the last one or two days, you can opt to try and raise the guinea pigs with her as a foster mother. To do this, remove all but one of the mother's litter, and rub your orphaned litter against these babies so that they will pick up their scent. Then introduce the orphans to their foster mother; she will sniff them, and then accept or reject them. If they are rejected, you'll have to hand-raise them.

If you have to hand-raise the babies, they will need a milk substitute formula every two hours during the daytime. Some formulas and feeding tips can be found here. If you feed them late at night before going to bed, and keep them very warm, they should be fine until the next morning. After each feeding, be sure to wash their mouths to remove any spilled milk, as guinea pigs are miserable if their coat gets sticky. You will need to feed them this way for the first four days.

You will also need to wipe the anus and genital organs of each cavy with a clean, damp cloth to induce urination and the passing of feces. If the father is present with the babies, he may actually perform this duty for you by licking them, but you should watch closely to make sure he is doing so.

After the fourth day, they will need to learn how to eat solid foods. Again, if the father is present, they may learn from him through observation, and may in fact have already picked it up. If not, any young cavy placed with the babies can teach them this activity; the babies will learn from imitation how to pick up pellets and fresh greens and put them into their mouths.

haha ... sometime on saturday i let my Yuki nap next to me as i online ..  .. sometimes i tired she sleep next to me while i on my bed resting .. lucky she knows how to produce a unique wheeking sound to let me know when she need to pee and poo so she ish safe on my little pillow just for her
