true .. you need to wait for the Desire launch in HTC Malaysia first . Then wait for 3 4 months for digi come out with new plan , because it is not something that can directly implement.

but cant wait till that time... maybe iphne 4g launch...
buy nexus one 1st.... nexus one seems a lot ROM to flash n update quite fast n frequent
*
yeah , actually Desire is almost 98% similar to the nexus one ,
nexus one less 64mb of RAM, Desire less one microphone .

actually 512mb RAM is very sufficient , I have running 7 8 apps in background but I still have 140mb of RAM left . If you can wait , then get Nexus . I bought Desire because of the design only.. lol

both Nexus and Desire using the same touchscreen panel , ClearPad2000 , only limited to 2 fingers with less responsive IF compare to Incredible . Incredible using CLearPAd3000 touchscreen panel which allow 9++ multitouch with high accuracy of responsive . Think la , basically when you need 2 fingers of multitouch ? when you choosing apps , making call , writing text (using swype) , normally 1 finger can done that =.= . Unless you want to play multiplayer game with 4 fingers ++ , with opponent on the same phone . Pinch and zoom is very smooth for expanding homescreen or picture , web site browsing. I dont see any other cases that needed multitouch (2 fingers) that much , normally 1 finger can do all the task. lol , think of how often you use more than 2 multi-touch 1st and whether it will slow down your productivity, no need comparing which phone has the best touch screen panel while you are not needed it. To me , Desire and Nexus are 95% smooth like Iphone , that 5% you wont notice with naked eye.

The only time a 2 finger application is required and it is very important for a phone is typing on the on-screen keyboard. When you're typing on 2 thumbs fast enough, you'll see the importance of 2 point multitouch. And also while gaming. Some games uses on-screen joysticks. The Clearpad2000 is just fine for this purpose. This is something on the software as suspected by developers. It could improve in the future. Lets hope it is not a hardware issue.

And I don't understand why a 9+ point screen is required tongue.gif but maybe there's something Clearpad3000 has that the 2000-series do not. You know... Americans are picky.

If I play game , I need to have a button like feeling , dont feeling I want to play game on touch screen phone and phone game cant satisfy me. on-screen keyboard with 2 finger ? XD I am using swype here , it is definitely faster than 2 fingers typing . so multi-touch typing is no longer needed
Swype user sets Guinness World Record for texting speed

no doubt..iphone touch screen is definitely better than desire or n1...Apple name wont come for nothing smile.gif
talking about smooth,i still experienced low responsive when i scroll pages using htc desire..i off live walpaper n compare with hd2 and hd2 slightly better than desire..so i would say desire is at least 80% smooth like iphone
i duno it support 4 fingers together or not but when im playing tap tap and need to press 3-4 places in same time, it never miss.i can press it
*
HD2 is scrolling is faster because Desire need time to make font to fit in screen . check the HD2 vs Iphone 3GS vs Desire... Desire is fastest in browsing internet , HD2 is the slowest . lol

I'm pretty close to your stage now hehehe but with a difference. I have changed close to 10 phones since 2009 until now. Yes, I'm crazy but I'm sure there are more crazy people than me. So I hope Desire will be my last well for the year. Hahahaha...
Yeah this is the reason why I stick my preference towards Desire. I know the Nexus One can do Sense UI but I don't wanna mess with the flashing procedures. Also the Modaco alpha revisions are not really bug free although they're pretty polished by now. Also the 'repartitioning' scares me. Also I'm more interested in the reversibility of this procedure in an event I want to sell it. So I better stick to Desire.

Right now I think some people is selling Desire for RM2200 and below (AP) but I want to see the original price point before deciding. I think RM2000 for a high-end AP phone is reasonable but if the original price point is close to RM22xx, it makes no difference. But sometimes, I'm cheap. Thats the way it is hehehehe...
*
I guess original Desire will cost at least Rm2400 ++ . Because if sis set cost at Rm2400 , then Ap will be Rm2200 . close to Legend Rm19xx sis .. if original sis set is Rm2200 , it make AP set sell at Rm2000 ... but legend cost Rm19xx , so sis will lost customer to buy Legend if they set ori Desire price lower . unless they set Desire Rm2200 together with lower Legend price . But I think HTC want earn more money , so they wont set Legend price lower for 2 3 months , Legend is selling HOT right now even at Rm19xx ~~
