SG sis set launch on next week already ==

singapore and here make no difference... still will have people bring from Singapore and it not difficult to claim warranty because it is quite close. So singapore launch = M'sia launch ..

if I buy now at Rm2.3k ... and when sis set of 2.3k release , I wont feel any dissatisfied .. because I am going to root it after 2 4 months of usage . .. After root it will void the warranty , because a "unlock" sign will show when phone reboot .

cant , it would not be the same as Iphone . Let me clarify 1st , the rooting wont void the warranty , but in order to root , you have to modify the bootloader , modify the bootloader is voiding the warranty . Bootloader is someting that you cant flash with stock bootloader , once it is modify , it stayed there forever. When you start your pc , a black screen appear first right ? that's one bootloader.

And do you know why you shouldnt wait and grab the ap set faster ?

so if you want to wait for htc sis set , it maybe upgraded to a the firmware which Paul talking about , making you cant root your Desire . Just like new Iphone 3GS cant be jailbroken , I remember it is OS 3.1.3 , correct me if I am wrong .. root is having root access making you can use apps to SD

yeah , a good game like exzeus need 60mb space .. but Desire only have around 160mb to store apps ... with ROM limitation , you can only install 2 games + few apps

huh ? HTC make good quality and blast with Android ... Do you know Android is growing fast ?? until Apple and Micrsoft get jealous . Now upcoming phone , most of them are come with android ~~~ and the specification of Desire is consider one of the best phone in the world , so I dont find anything that doesnt match the pricetag . not fair ? lolz compare with Iphone , almost same the price la ... sorry to making this sound offended , if this is out of your budget , get Legend instead , or save more money ..... You cant expect the price of the phone is same as your expectation price , Rm1.8k ~2k for this monster phone ?Then who is going to buy Legend and Nexus ?? lolz .. the Legend and Nexus controlling the price of Desire C'mon , high end gadget wont come in cheap , you are paying for what you get.. Or you can order from clove.uk (Rm1.8k , but praying for not getting catch by kastam ) , or wait for 5 6 months for the price to decrease ~ Rm2.3k is acceptable price for me , one of the best phone on the earth !

I am waiting the tough case for Desire as it protects the phone using hybrid protector .Yeah , it maybe be thick a bit , but I dont want any things happen to my phone when it falls accidently , this things cant be sure. hey bro , still remember me ? thanks for your opinion last time . Nexus is about Rm100 cheaper than Desire because it released earlier . To me , both of the are them are the same , but I like the design of Desire more. We wont notice the advantage of slightly increased of RAM when we're using it , unless we check the specification , 576MB~512MB . Nexus dual microphone is better for people who tend to use it in public , to reduce background noises ... In the next following months , the price of Nexus and Desire will stand firm unless a new HTC phone release , or Desire sis price decrease .

By the way, how long your battery goes ? Mine used up battery quite fast . just browsing for 1 hour , the battery already dropped 7%~10% ..need to kill apps ?

depend , there are many apps running on background even you are not using it , you can select which apps you want to kill . I only on wifi with other 3g rss feed off , using android power control. on The brightness I set to lowest , almost zero ! just browsing engadget only , less flash .. and I also not browsing continuously , because I was watching tv , browsed about 1 page in 10 mins . Only have my eyes read them when Tv enter commercial.

I guess AP wont drop in next 3 4 months because sis set price at Rm2699 . ap price will drop if sis price drop , or htc release a new phone with higher specification .

hmm Rm2699 sound sis set ? for more confirmation , can wait until 14th May Singapore launch , since they price wont differ so much with M'sia , Rm100~150 +- ..

they both having same connectivity card , where did you hear this from ? My desire is having 2 or 3 bar , even my wireless router is 100m beside me ... My router is Linksys WRT54GL , 2.4ghz channel a/b/g ... but still , I have ran some test speed , apps from speedtest.net , getting 800kbs ++ (subscribing 1mb streamyx) ... At first I thought the 2 3 bars mean low signal , but it still getting good speed , maybe got bugs with the software ..

if you still worry , borrow legend from friend or go to shop test by yourself .

welcome to the Desire club , I think TS should add owner name to first post already ?? .. I wanted to root but since I still have more 70mb for apps , so I just forget it .. the 70mb spaces left after installed 20 ++ apps , mainly productivity and useful tools ... no games ... Beside ,next month , google will announces app to sd already , so no point to root for now

They mean weak is comparing with nexus or desire ? from youtube , the legend perform quite well . Although Desire is faster like 1 or 2 seconds , because better processing speed . This difference only noticeable when loading high content of html code or flash . if you dont mind 1 of 2 secs , you can get Legend .. it's not more than 10 seconds delay.


Of course ~~~ Nexus is directly under Google ,and Google is the copyright holder still of Android . So any updates will directly goes for Nexus one first . Although there are other android phone like HTC , Samsung ,.. they may need 4 or 5 months to get update .
