there aren't any navigation program on desire, just google maps right?
Can any1 tell more about used the desire google maps in Malaysia? Can it shows the traffic condition like the google navi beta version? Will it update our current position from time to time? Not really clear about how it works without turn-by-turn navigation... |

QUOTE(Merang @ May 14 2010, 08:23 PM) I am pretty much a happy user of Google Navigation on the Desire. Dont have any experience on other Nav GPS so i can only speak of this google nav experience. U r malaysia user? So they have updated map for malaysia?Google Nav is not available in Malaysia out of the box (google only allow it in few selected countries). But a modified version of google maps is readily available online. Just install an app called Nav Launcher from market, run it and it will prompt you to download the latest version of modified google maps. I was impressed by it. Quite accurate . Turn by turn is nicely executed. The voice guide is a little off sometimes (i read that they are still working on this bug), but the visual is all you need. It will auto re-route quickly if you choose to use a diffrent route from the suggested one. You can watch the demo on youtube here. (Note: voice command is not available on my Desire). The only thing that you need to be aware of is you need to be online to use it. Added on May 14, 2010, 8:54 pm QUOTE(benny888 @ May 14 2010, 08:44 PM) The launch took only 30 mins. More than 20 sets were available for user to feel and test in the lounge beside conference room. About 200 people attended. Price confirm retail S$898 available end May. Launch already also need to wait till end of may, Then malaysia will be middle of jun loh~This post has been edited by draco82: May 14 2010, 08:54 PM |

QUOTE(hihihehe @ May 17 2010, 11:57 PM) I dun think that will happen since SG launch already with only around RM2100.If the price increase, then a lot of ppl will prefer to wait for SIS or buy from SG~~ I believe now quite a lot of m/sian work there who travel ford and back quite frequently as well~~ so ppl might consider purchase it from sg~~ just my opinion ~~ |

QUOTE(hihihehe @ May 18 2010, 09:38 AM) is hard to predict..UK is lack of stock for HTC desire and they increase their cost to get stock for htc desire... I think that is not from SIS right? but i think now is not rumored, its confirmed.. SIS price should be firm, worst come to worst get the SIS set from sg~~ Froyo confirmed support installation on SD already? This will be a good news to android holder |

QUOTE(hihihehe @ May 18 2010, 09:50 AM) i don think is about SIS or not.i think is just manufacturer not enough stock to provide outside store... Yes, i did know about the desire set is running out of stock due to the huge demand on the market in UK~~there is no official announcement of it, but if u got read some articles and the discussion in google forum, the hints they provided seems to be confirmed.. if i still remember, they say "coming soon".. even orange and vodafone cant get stock to supply to the customer who sign up for their package~~ but about price increase is just from the telco side which provide with package but not from HTC manufacturer right? QUOTE(ben3003 @ May 19 2010, 11:39 AM) I think most probably will cause it is a hot cake. They have seen the high demand in all over the world especially UK which will boost up their subscriber.... Just when, and what is the offer or package come with~~~ Another problem is whether they manage to get the stock or not~~ |
