I can't give you a definite answer. It depends on what matters to you. If you like Sense UI, then its Desire. But your Nexus One can use Modaco custom ROM to have the same thing too. BUT it depends on how far you're willing to mod your phone.

I have a few friends who are using Nexus One. They're sticking to the phone because of the upcoming Froyo update. You know what I mean :-)

Thats not too long hehehe... but by September, there's gonna be a lot of new releases like the iPhone 4G. It'll launched earlier but it takes a few months + telco wait time (you know Maxis). So it should coincide with HTC.

I used IS before and yes it'll turn bad after few months. In my case, around 1+ year. I had it on my iPOD Touch and it turned slightly yellowish. The edges of the IS collects dust but that is easy to wipe off. I find it useful to wipe it with a wet cloth every now and then. The orange peel effect depends on the material itself. Thickness, shrinkage, etc.

There are a few reasons why the price is coming down:

1. There is no stock to begin with. When stock is empty, demand dies down because you cannot satisfy it. Typically traders reduce price and report on upcoming stocks to spark new demands. When stock comes back and demand is there, price is gently increased. This assuming no ORIGINAL SIS goods in the equation.

2. There is simply no demand because our prophecy (price speculation for original SIS goods) has begin to unfold. Singapore release last weekend indicated SGD898 so a Malaysian retail price of RM2199-RM2299 is very real. Traders typically reduce their price to fire up demand. They do so because they still have inventory and it is slow moving. They better clear it off fast because signs of retail availability is coming soon. After all they could have committed to the price of the AP stocks at a higher price back then. When original sets finally become available or cheaper Singapore sets (due to geographical location and lower shipping cost), cheaper AP stocks will flood the market.

WHY I say that? Because they are removing 'memory card' inclusions to compensate their loss. Anyway its not much.

There is really nothing wrong with AP traders moving their prices up and down. After all they are the one that bring in extra new gadgets faster than everyone else. Big boys company cannot do it fast enough or economically like these guys. We should applaud them.

It won't work. Android Market checks your Telco ID to determine what content is available to you. I don't think it is a problem. You can always find out the app that is not available by going to the publisher or author's website and make purchase manually (if available).

Support for Apps on SD is a rumored feature and unconfirmed as far as I know. Maybe other will know better than me. Froyo will come to Desire. The question is when

If not mistaken this is the guy that promotes heavily the launch of Motorola Milestone. His shop is in Sunway Pyramid (his signature confirmed it) and I've passed by it on numerous occasions. He seems to have got it right for the Milestone launch details and pricing too. Guess his credibility is pretty ok?

His price is RM2199 now with the typical 1+1 SIS warranty. Looking good

I tell you some lucky folks may be getting it as early as this weekend hehehehehe I sure hope some super efficient trader can break some sales embargo and put it on sale this weekend. I'll pay cash!

The trader confirmed news that it is 27 May 2010 (if all goes well) and the price is RM2199 as indicated earlier.

Yeah the price on the street is around RM2200 but some nut jobs quote it for RM2450~2600. Pretty soon they will be feeling the pinch.

The only advertisements we're gonna see for Android phones are the ones from the telco. Seems to be Google's strategy. HTC mostly advertise on magazine covers and relying on reviewers.

Exactly. I think availability gonna be low with only a few shops or companies having them. Of course don't count the telco offering them on the dot. So anyone wanna commit into the preorder?

Cause if it is AP, why do we need a pre-order anyway. Its available now. Also the AP price is RM1950~ so why pay RM2199? SIS usually provided 1+1 years warranty standard.

Maybe this is an extraordinary high quality selection AP phone with 2 years warranty? Hmmmm
