The Premier League has issued a statement regarding the transfer fee for Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge.
The Professional Football Compensation Committee hearing into the compensation due to Manchester City for Daniel Sturridge's transfer to Chelsea FC has come to the following verdict:
Chelsea FC will pay an initial fee of £3.5m with additional payments of £500,000 after each of 10, 20, 30 and 40 first-team competitive appearances. There will be a further payment of £1m if the player makes a full international appearance.
Manchester City will receive 15 per cent of any sell-on fee if the player is transferred.
how come ah ?
sounds about right to me. they wanted something in the region of 9 million pounds? which was of course unreasonable. so CAS forced them to reach an agreement which was a lot closer to our evaluation, and i'd say we've reaped the benefits. bear in mind even at 9 million pounds, he could turn out to be our best bargain buy down the years. the boy has the talent to do it. let's hope he keeps up the good work and fulfills his full potential.

NOOOOO.I wish him go to juventus rather than liverpool. But I wonder liverpool got money to breach the contract with Rafa?
I am soo damn worry about our diamond.Diamond cant work anymore~

and seems like CA going to use back 4-3-3
regarding transfer window,if we play 4-3-3,buying one striker should be nice.
Whether is Sergio Aguero,David Villa. But David should be better but more expensive of course.
diamond's not working anymore? so i guess those dozens of chances we created using this system (vs aston villa, everton and birmingham just to name a few) which the PLAYERS failed to take was down to the formation then?
said it once and i'll say it again, there is no perfect formation. 4-3-3, 4-5-1,4-4-2,4-3-2-1, can all be shutdown by hardworking and disciplined teams. when push comes to shove and u meet a brick wall, it'll be down to the players' ability and determination. having said that however, i do support an occasional change or variation of tactics in a match, to suit the opponents/situation. carlo has shown that he's willing to mix it up in order to get a result, so we shouldn't be too worried.
why would villa be better for us? he's old, will cost a bomb, probably only has 2 years left at the top of his game and NEVER wanted to come to chelsea in the first place. hands down aguero's the better choice but right now we can only dream.

Chelsea - A Welcome Addition!
A lot of talk has gone into discussing whom and how our dear club should try to acquire during the short January transfer leeway.
Without any doubt, the name of Sergio Aguero remains the focal point of all transfer speculations. But, I can`t help but feel that the amounts being quoted are a bit obscene and unrealistic. After all we're Chelsea and shouldn't be following the ridiculous lead of Real Madrid.
Browsing through the different website (big and small) that run news and stories on our club and its activities, I've had this rhetoric feeling that that management is on the lookout for a slightly less costly player, contrary to the common thought of a multi-star marquee signing. Hence followed the rumours of Luis Suarez, Nilmar and Bastian Schwensteiger, all of whom are fascinating young talents, but in no regards, can be classified as high-profile Galacticos.
I have pondered upon the subject several times and landed upon the name of another potential star, who I believe has everything in him to perform and excel in the colours of Chelsea. It's the name of the Polish born German international Lukas Podolski. At the mere age of 24, he's already made an impressive number of appearances for club and country and always maintains a whole-hearted, committed approach to his game. I believe he's a big bag load of TNT, waiting to explode. A hammering, explosive left foot, searing pace, flair, dodge, dribble, healthy physique, he's got it all. Add to the fact that he can effortlessly slot into wider critical positions if and when required, which really makes him a good, multifunctional footballer. He's also a proven classy finisher, and his phenomenal conversion rate, while playing for his country bears testimony to that fact. He was never really wanted at Bayern and had several fallouts with the coaching staff because of their stark preferential treatment of the other forwards at Bayern. Ultimately he was deemed as a surplus to requirements and sold off to lowly FC Cologne, his spiritual home.
I have a soft spot for Lukas because he is a good player and would love to see him adorn the royal-blue of Chelsea. All he needs is some proper treatment, love and care of our warm-hearted emotional fans, and the buzz and excitement of playing for a massive club like Chelsea FC. These factors will surely act as catalysts to initiating his ascension to stardom. Because not only has the lad in him the ability to compete and win at this level, but also the necessary pre-requisites to improve his own game by learning from the experienced, skilled personnel at our disposal, whilst benefiting Chelsea in a number of ways.
