QUOTE(danmooncake @ May 26 2010, 10:07 PM)
My AAPL June 250 (in the money now) calls just soared 40%.  rclxms.gif

Update 11:50pm:
SP hit ceiling 1090. I'm out TNA 47. Waiting for dip to rebuy.

Update 2:20am:
Took profit for AAPL June 250 calls... 30% profit.. but got stop out on ERX.

Closing update: 4:05am
Dow 9974.45 -69.30 -0.69%
Nasdaq 2195.88 -15.07 -0.68%
S&P 500 1067.92 -6.11 -0.57%

The market giveth.. and taketh away.  biggrin.gif

The bulls ran away at closed and the Dow finally closed below 10K.  Very glad took profits early before the big puke.  sweat.gif
The volume is terrible today.. absolutely very few buyers.

Thursday and Friday evening probably not going to be pretty 'coz few people may want to put money in market for
the long weekend holiday.
*
Market seems to be opening in the green for tonight at the moment. Dow Futures up 150+. S&P Futures up 20+. Gotta get ready to short at 1100 smile.gif

Gonna keep a close eye on tonight's jobless claims & GDP. Might get a total reverse if things arent as good as it seems. Gotta see what CNBC spews tonight, Bear talk or Bull talk LOL.

'Thursday and Friday evening probably not going to be pretty 'coz few people may want to put money in market for
the long weekend holiday.' I agree with you that most probably people will be trying to sell before the long weekend ahead.

May the force be with us thumbup.gif

are u sure???

He asked what stocks are in the dips now, I can generally say if not everything, almost? As S&P has retraced about 12-13% already. If u're considering reverse/inverse ETFs, thats a different story altogether of course.

Not the first time..It will cross here several times.

Just BUY below 10K, sell above 10K. Good opportunity to scalp a bit.  biggrin.gif

Update: 3:00am
Panic selling came in.. Euro below 1.20 mark, Dow -3 digits, SP -38 points.. all minus 3 digits.  sweat.gif

Oh boy.. just as the market turns south, they're downgrading both MS and GS.  doh.gif

Closing update:
Dow 9931.22 -324.06 -3.16%
Nasdaq 2219.17 -83.86 -3.64%
S&P 500 1064.88 -37.95 -3.44%

Wow! This is another bad week for bulls. The SP tries to go back up to 200MA 3 times
but failed.  This is the 6th weeks of downturn.

On the news front, not only US got worse than expected jobs improvement, Hungary PM suddenly come out and tell the world it
is in 'grave' state.  doh.gif

Euro went below $1.20 to the US Dollar (4 year lows).

Next week is not going to be pretty. Get ready to test the low at 1040 again and if this doesn't hold, be prepare for November 09 low price.  I do expect at least one or two snapback rally. But, things aren't looking good if deflation comes into play.  nod.gif
*
Yeah, like you said, with all those scenarios in play with addition to the prevailing fears of euro debt and china's bubbling + slowing down in growth, future doesn't look too bright for the week/s ahead.

I guess it was indeed a bull trap, gonna try to time my entry back into AAPL JUL calls smile.gif

Across all broad market, all stocks have very ugly bearish signs.. daily, weekly and monthly charts.

Right now, it is short the rally or go with bear share until the trend change.

Last friday, US jobs number didn't help. Also, looks like nothing came out from G20 meeting during the weekend that can help Europe to get out from this mess in the short term.

Until SPX can clear the 200MA and 50MA, it is a going pull back down again.
Seems like this correction has broke the uptrend for the past 15 months.

Futures looking green thanks to Bernarke's remarks ! Up 80 at the moment!

Buttt.... I have a feeling this might be a short lived rally.. wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too many bearish signss...

At 1040, what's your take on getting some AAPL calls?

9.5k by the end of the week is somewhat possible I guess if more Euro crap happens & bad economic data on Thurs & Friday.

I guess for now the trade is between 1040-1105 for the S&P.

I've been trading VIX calls & AAPL calls, it has been pretty good so far thumbup.gif

Hmmm, the bulls seem to want to ignore any negative news totally!

I wonder if this would actually charge on to 1100 and then 1140?

LVS is indeed a very strong stock.  rclxms.gif

Closing update
Dow 10190.89 -20.18 -0.20%
Nasdaq 2243.96 +0.36 +0.02%
S&P 500 1089.63 -1.97 -0.18%

The bulls assault to climb over 200MA failed today.. just stop short of reaching 1106  doh.gif ,
then bad news about Greece downgrade came and push this bull rise back to last week close.

Damn Moody.. they must be shorting with their conspirators.  mad.gif
*
LOL, most definately man!!! Conspirary Theory 101! Was waiting for S&P to breach the 200MA and for AAPL to surge pass 260!!! Danggg!

I've nipped a little here at 26.40 with SL 25.90.  I'm just playing a short term scalp here.
Let see how it plays out. biggrin.gif

Closing update:
Dow 10409.46 +4.69 +0.05%
Nasdaq 2305.93 +0.05 +0.0%
S&P 500 1114.61 -0.62 -0.06%

Essentially a flat day. Almost at danger of tanking (below SP 1107).. luckily bulls came back
and pushed it up a few points higher to close.  tongue.gif
*
Yeah, as Zamans said, will be waiting for Thurs & Friday, too much going on then to see whether the S&P 500 200 MA will hold. Got out of 2/3 of my AAPL July Calls smile.gif Gonna see if AAPL can break its 52 week high thumbup.gif

I think AAPL will definitely be able to do that by end of this month if the market continues to move back up to 11K or higher.

Those new iPhones 4 are all sold out even before they're released. AAPL be reporting a very stellar quarter again.

MSFT now is pissing mad.. their software revenue is going stagnant, while AAPL going leaps and bounds and much higher.  rclxms.gif

Added on June 18, 2010, 5:31 amClosing update:
Dow 10434.17 +24.71 +0.24%
Nasdaq 2307.16 +1.23 +0.05%
S&P 500 1116.04 +1.43 +0.13%

Looks like we got a green close..  sweat.gif  but, not all is well tonight.

I can see the broad sector for materials and some commodities selling off already.

The econ data that came out wasn't that good. Market not completely down yet but I think
it may not hold off much longer, perhaps until after opex day tomorrow, things maybe ugly
again by closing Friday or early next week.

Took some small profit in LVS, TNA and ERX .  Going to hold off and stay in cash and see where this goes.
Going to stay at the sidelines on Opex Day.
*
Gonna stay on the sidelines for today as well. Volatility may be pretty insane today. No major US economic news till next Tues.

Hey guyss...how's it going? Haha. Have been on hiatus for a while. Caught some Aug 270 AAPL calls yesterday but have a feeling AAPL will drop tonight further...so more picking up I guess?

Look's like tonight might be a down night! Brace yourselves peeps!

PS: Zamans, I have DRYS as well. All the drilling ban talk and BDI at such poor levels really raping DryBulkers big time! Go LONGGGGGGGGGGG I guess.
