maradona have lead argentina to the promise land, but korea even though lose 4-1 i think got enough quality to beat nigeria to qualify.
*
Korea still stand a chance in qualifying to the next round. They are keeping their fingers crossed for it.

QUOTE(robertngo @ Jun 17 2010, 10:45 PM)
when you look at the qualification they go through, getting into the knockout stage is already a big step foward.
*
I can see that you've been following through Argentina during the Qualifying stages for the FIFA World Cup. I must agree they've been chalking up good results on their first two matches in their earlier campaigns. Vamos, vamos Argentina!

QUOTE(coffeebreak @ Jun 18 2010, 04:27 AM)
FRANCE LOST! why oh why oh why!!!!??!?!? those mexicans players keep pushing! thats just pure nonsense!
*
Mexico buns tasted better then those French toasts. To be honest, the France is not the France it used to be. The catalytic has been removed from the heart of the France national team when Zinedine Zidane retires from professional football after the 2006 FIFA World Cup. They really fared badly and it has been shown in the defeat of France against Mexico.

France doesn't even deserve to be in this tournament in the first place! We have an age-old cliche in Malaysia/Singapore : "cheater no prosper"!

South Korea should qualify at the expense of Nigeria - their persistence and hard-work will do the job, perhaps causing another Nigerian to lose his head in the process! Greece should get clobbered by Argentina if the latter's manager doesn't go and do something crazy again!

in 2002 the reigning champion France did not score one goal in three group stage due to injury to zidane, France can get to 2006 final also because of Zidane, without Zidane France are an rubbish team.

EL PIPITA scored the first Hatrick in this World Cup. Hope he can continue this form to become the top Scorer for this world Cup though I don't think they can go far with that kinda performance.

the defense looks like to distracted by messi to notice higuain have arrive at the other side of the goal, at this rate messi dont need to score any goal during the match, he can lure away the defender and them pass the ball to tevez/huguain/aguero/milito

Lionel Messi can be a distracting piece of offensive player. Playing deception to the opponent defenders, creating chances for other strikers to go for glory. Acting like a bait, he lures others, especially defenders to his side, creating a void on the other side of the field.

If Messi can create chances with whipping in-swing crosses, pin point through ball, there's no doubt Carlos Tevez or even Gonzalo Higuain can slot it in and seal the win. A great asset to have for Argentina's side.

with the French in this form, South Africa must now be dreaming of a great escape to the knockout stage, what a great victory that will be, can you image the noise level of the vuvuzela would be biggrin.gif

You can write the French out. Everyone would agree that France does not have what it takes to play in FIFA World Cup. I believe even those supporters who are backing up France in this campaign are taken aback with the poor performance shown. Definitely a dismay let down for a former champion.

Actually Higuain only play the same role in Madrid and it is clearly maradona want to use messi and tevez's skill and technique to break the defense especially the 2 full backs there so that Higuan can move so free without marking
