QUOTE(robertngo @ Jun 14 2010, 02:45 PM) but only adidas sponsored team use the ball in their home game and not all german play in bundesliga, if the ball is such a big influence then the african team will hold much more advantage since they use the ball in the cup of nation. Yeah not all germans, but a high majority like 21 out of the 23 ? around there i think. Anyway Italy got shocked in the first half. EDIT : Eh wait, i was wrong yeah. ALL of them play in the bundesliga. This post has been edited by visionary1993: Jun 15 2010, 07:57 AM

EDIT : Eh wait, i was wrong yeah. ALL of them play in the bundesliga. i think the right setence is not all german league player are german and not all club use the ball, so there is not really an excuse that they have more advantage on the ball any more than the african team would have advantage because they use the ball in the cup of nation. other league in france, argentina, portugal, US also have used the ball. anyway every time before world cup player especially goal keeper will complain about the ball, i think it is so if that when they have some bad save they can blame on the ball

The ball is just a convenient excuse. So far I've seen nothing to suggest that the ball is such a major factor despite the complaints. Free kicks getting skied into the stands? That would have happened with a normal ball seeing as so far the players standing over the kicks haven't exactly been free-kick specialists. I think Sneijder is the only specialist I can recall and his FK was from quite a distance.

Ivory Coast and Portugal contented to draw eh? If N Korea gets an unlikely result against Brazil, that would make things really interesting...

What lousy World Cup so far. Except for South Africa vs Mexico, Germany vs Australia and Italy vs Paraguay, the rest of the tournament so far are extremely boring and poor in quality. A change of ball contributes to that? I really doubt so.

I miss being able to hear the fans chanting and singing. Now all I hear is the commentators and the sound of a huge swarm of bees.

Agree. North Korea made a fan out of me. I'm really impressed by their fighting spirit... and their manager's antics.
