As for the other guy telling to relax and wait, your order is way down the line, it's only common sense for you not to care since you've resented to that fact and well, you're late. Some of us made the order early and expects it early as well. If Alienware advertised it as a "preorder" then you wouldn't have grounds to argue. This is not the case.

You want to relax and wait? Go ahead. Some of us already have pressing needs for our M11X that does not accomodate waiting. There's a reason why people order early as opposed to letting it slide to the last minute.

What makes all this worse is, IIANM, CNY celebrations in China is week-long. Which pushes any chance of any order arriving this month. The next question is, how much delayed later would that be?

They could have simply alleviated this problem by putting the order page after CNY, that would make production flow more sensible.

IIRC, those guys in the USA got their EDD pushed back to nearly 2 months for xps 13 when it was first released. that sounds reasonable to be angry with. but if its only a week or two, try to live in the backend's shoes.

Please. You think I don't know that? Look back at the things I've purchased through my post history, I'm not new to first batches of things.

In fact, look back at the whole history of Alienware purchaser in Malaysia, and who had the balls and took the chance of being the first taking advantage of Alienware UK's worldwide shipping option to ship it and order from Malaysia?

The point I'm making is, I'm purchasing this based on my previous experience with buying an Alienware. My last order went smoothly, and when first experience is that favorable, you'd feel inclined to believe that is the norm. Looks like that was the "exception" , and the "norm" is that it is normal for them to keep their customer dangling for extended period of time until they feel to build the order, whenever that would be.

In fact, i'd be more than happy to take any C2D config at stock and do the upgrade myself if that means that I can get it early. But the choice here is "wait extended period of time with no firm EDD" or "wait even longer"! WTF!

u got ur alienware in 8 days at UK mayb becoz uk got more ppl. so they ship tehre faster first lo.
here less ppl buy, so priority goes to other richer countries.

im a new fan, i knew it will reach late, i still buy out of my willingness and happy to wait for it. the longer i wait, the more i will appreciate it.

why do u need the EDD when u already have the "cancel the order" inside ur mind. just go ahead and cancel, it will make u feel better. less stress, no need to wait. no need to be curious about the EDD. cuz curiousity kills a cat. (Tats ur situation)
for me, curious and waiting is a type of excitement, its jz like waiting for CNY to come, its already a fact that it will only happen around february.

Say that it's a "preorder" and first batch orders will only start production after CNY. I've planned things around the M11X so much that not having it with ne that time will only reduce productivity and it's usefulness while I'm away with it. Some of us have definite and specifically-timed plans with it.

Yes, I plan my life to the day and date. Others may see it as extreme but that's the only way I know that I can make full use of my free/work time and the equipments/gadgets I bring around with me.

hello sir, i do make my own plans please. i sold my s57 and i got no laptop. im in CYBER CAFE now, just because to online and check alienware. i do get disappointed everytime when i see the status not updated. i got even more disappointed when i see ppl keep on complaining, non stop i mean.

i got tons of assignments, project papers, reports, lab reports and term papers to do. i have to finish it by cny. i don even have a laptop of my own now, what can i do? go CC lo, this is the sacrifice i made for alienware m11x.

LOL and Im not an Alienware fan? Check version 1. Check owner number 1. Besides Dered who had his m9750 ordered from the USA, I'm a FAN enough to purchaese it while everybody else were rolling around with their boring XPSes. Then followed by PhantomThief, whom I believe grew weary of the whole Alienware scene here after not much response from others who only a FAN enough to play the "wait-b-see" game until Dell bought Alienware and make it finally available to you lot.

So yup, apparently Im not a fan enough. Or does being a fan makes it a sin to complain about a brand you love, because if everybody just pats everybody else's shoulder and pretend nothing's wrong, this whole "tidak apa" attitude will never change. And here I thought improvement comes from feedbacks, be it complimentary or critical like mine.

My reasoning of posting the stage progress is to compare the Alienware of the old versus the Dellienware of now. Being a part of a larger entity is sometimes detrimental to their own previous reputation. In fact, the reason why there is an Order Status page is for the customer to keep track of the progress of their order and to build up excitement as the order progressed to the final shipping status. What "excitement" is there when your order stuck at the very first stage with no improvement in order status is in sight?
