QUOTE(lchen39 @ Jan 5 2010, 02:06 AM)
how about M15x user? any hissing sound problem?

and one more question, izzit normal for the hdd area to get hot?
coz i remember last time i put the Aw on my lap but didn't feel any heat, and the heat is only at the back; but recently the hdd area damn hot and my lap cannot tahan liao....
*
Hissing sound, try other headset. I only get it with the Tactx Headset. I tried other headset, I don't get the hissing sound. If every headset you tried also got hissing sound, could be your earphone jack area is 'loose' or err.. rusty? or could be the soundcard, no?

How long you used the laptop? I'd been using for around 2 months now. Still very cool. cool2.gif

thats quite nice to hear.  hmm.gif

calling screamo! since u not using ur headset, r u considering selling urs?  icon_idea.gif
anyway update on my problem.

- good news is, dell technician came to clean the dust inside my lcd.  icon_rolleyes.gif
- bad news, dell provide the technician with wrong part. it supposed to be lcd screen + plastic monitor frame in 1 piece instead of lcd screen part only.  doh.gif

so he will come again tomorrow to replace my lcd whole piece instead cuz its impossible to clean the dust since the lcd screen is glued to the frame.  sweat.gif

conclusion, the dust is not my fault.  whistling.gif
will upload pictures of the dust and process when the technician open up my lappy. its quite scary juz becoz of single tiny dust, have to open almost everything.  rclxub.gif

nope, putting it aside on display. lol

but i just checked the status, it arrived in Malaysia Customs already. The fastest is next week. If it's next week, it only takes me 2 weeks to get the bag. lol. that's quick.

Date orders placed: 30th December 2009
Date received: 9th January 2010

Okay guys, sorry for the delay. Was kinda busy with housekeeping, can only do it on the weekends as my Uni started already! Here I present you all with the unofficial and the most informal review of the Alienware Orion Backpack. In case you didn't know, I'm bringing this bag in to help LYN members to own it! Yes, owning a bag from outer space! Check out my siggy for the link to the thread. Here goes my review.

it feels hard but its not metal. i'm guessing its metal zipper wrapped with plastic. good quality stuff and it won't bend no matter how hard you try cool2.gif

Size Comparison, Orion is much more spacious. i do mean much more.

Wireless security shield compartment
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

cuts off all signal to your mobile devices. tested and it took about 5 seconds for my mobile phone to regain the network coverage again. nod.gif

Heavily Padded back and strap
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

carrying the M15x in it is like carrying a macbook air. brows.gif

Two hidden compartments behind the alienhead ( one on each side)
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

To slot in water bottle i guess. Fits the normal 500ml bottle. nod.gif

The laptop compartment
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

fits PERFECTLY and SAFE! icon_rolleyes.gif

The second largest compartment
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I stuffed in the HUGE Tactx Headset, Tactx Mouse and the power brick. Still got ample space left for a few mouses. laugh.gif I believe it can fit another M15x or M17x in this compartment without a problem

Both compartments

The first compartment with all the tiny pockets
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

enough sleeves for 10 cds, your mobile phone, your music device, pens and pencils. rclxms.gif

Final look with everything inside
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

looks pretty solid smile.gif

How guys? Salivating? drool.gif

notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif HAIL SCREEMO For the great review!!!!! notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

I didn't know they have a compartment that cuts off all wireless signals. Cool. And the overall detail and finish to the zipper and padding looks of high quality...
NICE!!!

Yup, high quality. They can't give you cheap stuff for the money you're paying, or else we all jump ship to other brands lor. hahaha
