nah, nutrafin is white bottle with blue label.

The expensive green bottle one i think you are referring to Tension Gon. haha
I didnt get that one altho it seems good as they say there is a lot of con as in the bigger bottles cost more and are more diluted and then the pricing always changes etc....
I'm currently looking for the more trustable ones like Seachem Prime which does better and more consistent than tension gon....however it seems to be very scarce in msia the k.l / pj regions...

Added on May 14, 2010, 10:34 amalso i cant find any website on company info on tension gon lol

hard to trust a brand which doesnt have a website these days...
*
Yea! you are correct....tension gon.... but too expensive.... btw i still think the best anti chlorine is aerate the water in a tank for few days until all the chlorine is gone...then only use it for your fish.....thats if you super love your fish and willing so use a tank just to aerate water....haha....An emptry tank in my house wont work....cuz the next minute ill fill it up with fishes as there are too many fish i wana buy haha

I put in the freshly opened tetra pellets and after a few minutes it went to go chew chew chew like 4-5 pellets!! not sure if it was really eating it or not but it seemed to be chewing it and actively looking for it.
Its like chewing and shredding it so thats y not sure lol but at least its putting it in its mouth =.="

Hi,

Is your mechanical filter sufficient?.... usually if Algae problem will use UV......but if cloudy water your mechanical filter not enough i think...... maybe you can add those carbon filter also if you want your water to be super clear......i did that with my tank.... no problem...

guess i have to act fast...

arowana sometimes will open close mouth...how to define fast or slow?...the best is you see the gills...... everry 1.5 to 2 seconds it will open one time.... if its normal.... if bigger arowana maybe 3 seconds.... if 1 second open 2 times menas not normal.

6 footer...hehe...the tank is 780 for one
filter stuff sum up to around 1.2k
the stand is 630
the sump tank is a 4footer, 130
so total up is around 3.5k
*
Bro,

Your tank size is 6 foot length?

Cuz from the picture it looks like the width is 18 inch... and the height is like 2 feet or 18 inch.... and the length is 4 feet......

Because im comparing the size of your aquarium with the pipes u are using in the side view....(1 inch pipes ?)

Im also comparing your sump tank size with the little aquarium with red cover..(it doesn loko like 4 feet from the picture)... and also the size of your metal stand....... cuz if its tw0 6 feet tank using that kind of metal leg.... i dont think the metal stand can support the immense weight of the water........

so im just curious.. i might be wrong cuz im looking at the picture hmm.gif

some rough direction...if u are coming from bulatan pahang, u will pass by tawakal hospital (on ur left), then go straight, and u turn in after u the DUKE highway junction and before the setapak police station...go straight u shuld see a traffic light...turn left then right...into the shop lots...at the end of the shop lots, u shuld see a very big tyre shop, if didnt mistaken, the tyre shop name is continental...if u found it, u are at the right place..go straight....keep noticing ur right, u shuld saw some big lorries and glasses...u saw it, that is the place

Just for info, if any of you planning to make those 'non standard design' like you wana create your dream aquarium.... must be really clear with the supplier...... like the size of the stand... filter size.... and height of aquarium...

last time i ordered my non standard aquarium from her but she got the dimensions all wrong....actually i ordered a 4' by 2' by 18 inch (high) tank with 8 inch width as filter.... but she make the filter size 4 inch only...whcih is too small..... then i ask her to change....good thing she change for me...but i have to wait another 2 days......the waiting period is hard as you want your aquarium fast cuz u cant wait to start putting fishes in!....

but my aquarium stand she got it wrong again...but i just accept it cuz i cant wait anymore longer...... from the floor to my sump tank compartment is about 8 inch high....... actually i orders it to be 5 inch high only....so now my aquairum looks like a kampung house....as in those houses with long legs so taht when the flood comes... no need scared haha whistling.gif

err...so then how to make the living percentage is higher than dying percentage, in term of water control and quality, filter, tank, feeding blink.gif
*
You can say experience is most important to increase chances of the fish not dying.......because just say when your fish acting abnormal..... the expert will know wat to do....eg. change 20% water or add salt or certain medication.....and beginner wont notice that until it is too late.....also things like covering your arowana tank.....is another factor..
.or maybe quarantine your feeder fish before feeding to your arowana to reduce chances of diseases...

*
Hi bro,

Xian Leng got alot of fei feng, just bought 1 from there last week... not sure whether this week still have or not....

btw your arowana quite aggresive if you put you fei feng will it attack it? if its the only fish i guess it will attaack since aro is territorial.... maybe you get 1 fei feng and a few gold lampang so that the arowana cant target a certain fish then can d

20-30% water change can oledy...

you just need to measure the LxWxH of the actual water you put in....Here is H is the main factor for wc

best to use inches to calculate....for example after calculating mine:

total actual water volume utilized from aquarium = 60 inch x 30 inch x 21 inch (Height)

so for me i do 30% water change...

and 30% of my 'total actual water volume utilized' is = 60 inch x 30 inch x 6.3 inch..

so basically i just measure 6.3 inch down and siphon the water out..

then i add back 6.3 inch of water  tongue.gif
since i got quite a few fishes in my tank so i do 30% wc.

If your's is only just arowana and some other fish x 1 ....then 20% is recommended smile.gif

hope you get my drift tongue.gif
*
Leong, I also use your method but not until so accurate until .3 haha..... so instead of using a ruller to measure.... i just use a permanent marker to mark my aquarium hence there is something like a ruller at the side of the aquarium. of course draw it nicely and dont so big and ugly way....
