I think if you hope superHB to reach 6 lvl is a bit over expecting.

Nowadays RTG = HB
HB = superHB

Reason they throw a lot of HB into RTG pond, so now all chaplang, and most RTG will pass 4th level but not 5th lvl complete.

So best thing is reduce your expectation and how much you bought? does it come with cert

Why don't u treat it in WTT for 3 months and see the result. if u not satisfy, maybe u can bring the fish back to oriental?

DFI in singapore is a respected farm, and since oriental is their agent in malaysia, i think oriental will upkeep their own reputation too...unless they want to do `Fly by night' buz then we cannot comment much...

but good grade aro normally cross faster than low grade aro, n if urs is a low grade aro, then it will only cross after 1 year....or more....
cross 4 or cross 5 still a good aro...in my opinion.

price is still ok as some hb now selling at rm900.00 n the seller oli mentioned high back!.

I was wondering if i shud reduce one more ornate bichir as i believe the ornate is a bit aggressive and is most pro ninja hunter at night. (even one single feeder fish in a whole 5ft aq he wont let escape, everyday catch 1-2 feeder without fail and no misses!! one snap goner)
Ornate is about 9 inchs long. The aro will be about 7-8 inchs i think.

The marble bichir and seng bichirs are very chicken wan so i dont have to worry about thier aggression lol.

Nah i dont believe in those stupid ph up down chemicals also lol...it just doesnt make sense if u think about doing wc...unless you so much space to have a spare tank to store the water for aging and purifying before use to do wc which i think 90% of the world population dont have such luxury...

For me all i care about is clean water and bacteria (i'm a bacteria nutcase)
For now i took out all the coral chips already since the ph is high.

I using "Azoo arowana live water" from now on which is also a dechlorinator as well as a ph stabalizer as it replaces the lost KH during water changes. Basically like a all in one convienient solution so i no need coral rocks for dKH.

Now my tank not so complicated water chem already. 
only 2 solutions i using will be azoo aro live water for dechlorinizer and nutrafin cycle (bb solution)Probly add vitamins later lol but yeah...

I mainly focus on the bacteria...since i took out all the cc in the filter i replace with more ehiem substrate rock filter media lol..

I wont be using K.leaves either cuz i really dont know how to use them..and scared of ph fluctuations...i'd rather just let the ph be as it is and keep it stable
So i will just stick to regular 20-25% water changes every saturday which i've been doing anyways and maybe a 10% change on some weds along with it if i'm that free after work

My arowana is from xlsa, thier cert will be br/cr arowana.
The reason is because the new ranking system in xlsa is that br/cr is the same 1st grade and no difference..
2nd grade is the super red, and 3rd banjar red.
They have no differentiation btw chilli and blood anymore. I confirmed it with the manager who really got  with all my questions but least he was happy to entertain me (of course la..i paying =.=!)

I price listed rm3k+, i got offered rm2.6k

mine i think using just the pink normal tube lights hanging on the hood. that light is ok for me (my eyes are sensitive to bright lights ) so then it should not be too bright or too dark to see so it shud be just nice and easy for aro and bichir. and only time it to turn on at 6 to 11pm lol

dunno about tanning lights ler...will have to see next time in the future when aro older... i feel that those things sure make water hotter and confirm bad for fish eye sight which can even lead to DE    i just want to have happy aro and happy aro will make me happy too
For the tanning i just open curtains as my window is just about 3 meters in front of the aquarium, (thus the reason why its impossible to take photos until evening  )....so it will get a very light natural sun tanning

now i feel i need to remove the parrot chillids d, they really do shit a lot lol.
gonna try and sell the ornate too cuz i wana reduce the bio load.

yeah, the water reserve (usually located at housing roofs) are more preferred cuz its sorta aged. safer 

yah i also have that white slime thingy....i dont think that one is related to the uv filter tho lol, cuz i havent been using mine and i also have...
i think the white slime is like the excess protective slime coating thats in the water. Sometimes the ac we use does provide slimecoat properties and thus the excess get stuck to the silicone guah 

yeah i guess uv filter is extra cost.....the reason i asking is cuz i was just wondering if it actually is good for the water or not.

logically...if its turned on...anything including free floating beneficial bacteria (bb) is killed in the water...and i dont think thats a good thing lol but the parasites are killed too which also helps :S

but then again if the uv filter is turned on then the only bb remaining are only at the filter media in our filters bb housings.

depends on the lfs you getting from, however you can expect a price above rm2k

Deear all arowana lovers,

I'm moe and i own a HBRTG.
i'm in a situation that i'm contemplating on several choices that i have in hand.
i'm in verge of getting married and move home. i keep my almost 1.75 ft 2 years old HBRTG spoon head in a 4x2x2 3-piece tank with cabinet.
The choices that i laid out for myself are:

1) Sell the whole set with fish and everything(saves me the hastle moving the fish with tank) and when i'm in my new home, i may may buy a 5 or 6 footer tank and upgrade to a red aro.

2) just move my fish to the new home and be happy with what i have.

I'm a little more favorable to the first choice but i'm not really desperate to sell, so i won't exactly opt for the choice of selling it all if i was not offered a reasonable price.

note: i'm not quite expecting a lucrative price, i'm ready to let it go for a reasonable price.
