erm, i suggest you to wait. because it happens to me last time, i were pushing them too hard, and then just give me a called and said that my area were not supporting 4mbps and forced me to downgrade, which is false. since you got 14 days tied with the installer, in my opinion though, is recommended you called the installer after a week.

erm mine is on 115 ip range, and i managed to watch youtube videos flawlessly with starting few seconds streams up to max 450kb/s and then drop to constant 60kb/s on the middle of the video for the current situation that alot people eventually can stream youtube video fast as well. but, on the other hand, downloads especially via international hosters were really bad but some could reach 100kbps and i eventually did speedtest to some international servers and i managed to get only 1mbps. if i not mistaken, i think i' ve been throttle down to 1mbps for international speeds. maybe they knew it from your modem mode, because on my side, if i'm using adsl2+ mode, my snr is only 19.9 to 20+/- db with line attenuation 7 to 9 db, so i tried to play around with all the modes and i eventually get 28.9 to 30 db for the moment but not adsl2+ mode. maybe you should attach the screenshot of your modem statistics to them so that you can prove it to them.

in my opinion, it's better to remain silence or they'll just ask you to downgrade. this happens to me. but although my line were not that bad.

try download from direct http servers. for e.g microsoft, downloads.com

for 4mbps account with port capped 4096kbps downstream most probably can get below 500kb/s constant for me.

erm, i don't think it's matter of tm throttling media fire, even i'm using rapidleech for downloading media fire, the plugin is down. most probably media fire having problems?
