Hi Just upgraded my streamyx from 1mbps to 4mbps yesterday (10 mar) under OKU package.
Told the techie to cap for me to 6/8mbps but he said NO, even though he's friendly and softspoken.
Did anyone of you managed to capped more than 4mbps for the past weeks?
The techie told me that he cannot do it, since new rules from HQ applied. Eventhough I tried to treat him 'duit kopi' and he's adamant to capp for me.

My IP is still 60.x and not even a 115/118.x IP address. Called the techie, no answer, called TM 4 times, cant do about it and informed me to call the techie since it's still under his warranty period.
How can I get a 3 prefix IP address?

Any advice fellow users?  rclxub.gif

same same la....mine just come on noon and he also said NO
but didn't upgrade becuz he said NMS have problem so NOC cannot upgrade
dn't know have to wait until when only can enjoy 4Mbps

Whoa, back then, the excitement was all about getting capped at 5120 kbps. Now we have people getting capped at 6 Mbps.

This is very unfair to the other 4 Mbps subscribers, in my opinion.
*
where got unfair oh
they capped the "port" at 6Mbps only ma
the "account" is still 4Mbps
so eventhough they capped at 10Mbps...speed is the same...still 400+KBPS only
capped at 5Mbps is very very enough already

I upgraded my 4Mbps last week, and I'm not getting the 218 IP. Called the TM Advance Troubleshooting team and asked to rectify my IP issue.
I did mention about 115 IP but he said no such thing, only got 218 IP.  mad.gif

So which IP is better, suffice to say?!?!  rclxub.gif

Now, I gotta wait another 2 working days to rectify my IP issue.  vmad.gif
*
some say 218 is better
for 115...it's ok...just dn't get 118...this ip is bad and gives headache
get 124...it's the best one i've use..very rare
but i think these ip depends on area to whether it's good or not

hmm.gif Well, I can say it's either 218 or 124 IP then. But I'm not sure whether 218 or 124 is best for my area. Will just have to wait and see. sad.gif
It's a dynamic IP right? so everytime i connect it's assigns me to either 218/115/124/118 or it's static IP solely assigned to 218 as requested?
thanks!  icon_rolleyes.gif

Mr. Alien, where are you located?
*
i;m located at sabah
124 works best for me but very rare...usually get 115/118
never get 218 before
previously when 1Mbps is 60.52
erm...i think it's dynamic....but when i go to some ip website..it's says static ip...dn't know which is true

i want to ask a question
i applied to the 4m BB deals
i was supposed to be upgraded last friday but they give reason of have problem on the "NMS"
so NOC cannot upgrade my port......
and they have to send KL ppl here to fix it
the technician also say alot of ppl already waited 1 month also cannot upgrade becuz of this problem
it's almost a week already
can i complain to TM or should i complain to MCMC

I just hope I can get the 218/115 IP within this week. I just can't stand at the 6x IP already. It's a real bugger!

mr alien: on your case, i think you just have to wait. If TM is sending their tech from KL to Sabah to solve your issue. Complaining to TM again, would do a thing. MCMC now also macam no hope already but you may try your luck and see.
*
i dn't think is to solve my issue
is to solve the whole sabah issue
becuz it's the "NMS" problem that cause ppl cannot upgrade in whole sabah
and the technician also say KL still not sending any ppl here to fix it which cause alot of delays to every upgrade
already inform high management still nothing
he said will come back when CAN upgrade...still haven't come back means nothing is done from KL

QUOTE(whackowilson @ Mar 18 2010, 01:26 PM)
finally. after numerous complains and calls to TM. they finally changed my IP to the premium IP.
Thanks Sharifah from Advance Troubleshooting Team for handling my case.

Now everything is fast! But they told me to monitor my speed for the next few days first, only if it's slow, they'll cap my speed to more than 4mbps biggrin.gif

Added on March 18, 2010, 2:23 pmis 4mbps user having slow download speed from zshare or rapidshare? Did TM cap us from downloading from these share sites?  hmm.gif Because when I download my HD series from ninjavideo or freemediatv.com, it's very slow. Before I was changed to 218x from 60x IP address it was zippy.  rclxub.gif
any user experience this issue here?  icon_question.gif

thanks  notworthy.gif

Added on March 18, 2010, 3:29 pmyo! users. I heard from the techie, saying that the current RIGER ADSL2+ modem is quite cheapo. Tends to overheat and hangs your modem. Even it affects your speed and latency. Saying that the previous BILLION modem works better. Is that true?

anyways, i wanna get a new modem. any recommendation for a good and reliable modem?
what about DLINK or Netgear?
*
yes....tm throttle it
but for zshare...try FreeGrab....it can get u full speed and multiple download at one time
while other...u can get full speed by using proxy or VPN....or just use rapidleech
u can try switching ip actually....not all the ip is throttle...some is very fast if u'r lucky to get it

dr alien: why not you try download series from ninjavideo.net?
but need to open this http://www.ninjavideo.net/applet.php  and leave it when you're streaming or downloading the video from ninjavideo.

see what you get? mine with IDM is shitty. But on the 60x it was quite fast actually.

So i need to reconnect my connection in order to get into another IP?
*
this ninjavideo.....seem my extension is blocking it because it's loading local thing i think
for ninja...i found out there is an alternative link which is megaupload...i think megaupload is quite fast

New upgraded user here , mine is also me at 4096 and 510. I'm wondering how should I complain so they would cap me at 5mbps.
*
post some speedtest and compare mine
mine seem kinda low...shouldn't it be 3.6Mbps?...not 3.1-3.2Mbps?

Wonder why they want to launch unifi when they dont even have coverage for 2mbps~4mbps here in Mutiara Damansara .. so disappointed .. but still, P1 got signal problems .. don't really trust Digi and Maxis broadband lol
*
becuz not all place can be stable for 4Mbps
but unifi uses fibre optic.....every place can go as high speed as u can whenever where ever u want
so once unifi cover the whole nation...there is no more unstable, no coverage these kind of problem
no more ping problem(local) as well
