@Ben,

I agree with them about not BUYING/KILLING anymore RCS... If something is wrong. IT IS.

Ever thought temperature might be a problem? Or underpowered filter anyone??

And I can see why pinchy is on the edge.. So don't player hate lol..

COnfirm your tank is safe for rcs? are you joking my friend, nobody confirms these things overnight... or at least by seeing a few swimming around at the time of introduction...

You found those Malayan Trumpet Snails Cute? this proves you're very new in the hobby lol.. Don't wanna be the spoiler, keep keeping them Ben smile.gif

Ben, I want to see where you're coming from So it's not a one sided annoyance for me.

What tank ( DONT BOTHER TELLING ME AROWANA OR SHRIMP,) are you having now. SPECS, FILTERS, SUBSTRATE, TEMPERATURE, LIGHTING, C02 OR NOT?

Its like this, one step at the time, why worry about BPM when you dont even have c02 running yet?

Regards
Drew

Guys cherry shrimp breeding tank what is important about subsrate? why can't any substrate work?

Just saw this, proves that you've been doing a heck load of 'research'

Reason we use ADA soils for shrimps(at least these dwarf shrimps )

IT SOFTENS YOUR WATER and it will be slightly acidic. PREFERRED pH value is : 6-7.2.. Things like beach sand would usually act as a hardener. which is usually a b**** for shrimp keepers ( Not including sulawesis or other special ones )

Feel free to correct me,

Not to LanC but I'm saying this based on experience, and This experiences helped me fathered thousands of shrimps, believe me or not, your choice. Same goes to Pinchy, he fathered loads of shrimps too..

I find them cute, but alot of people don't... That's according to the MAC poll... I find them cute because I accidentally got 2 of them while they were small and watched them grow big smile.gif Temperature is like usual, everything is usual just the beach sand but they didn't harm any other livestock. I will check on that shrimp few times more.

BRO, I DONT WANT THE ASNWER : USUAL..

Give me in NUMERICAL terms . Celcius and pH levels PLEASE. Gosh. and your problem now is not any other livestock right? those 'other' livestock MAY NOT be particularly sensitive... So it's REASONABLE if somethign is causing your RCS to die.

Sorry to come down hard on you, it seems like it's one of the only ways you would learn and spend unnecessarily .. But feel free too langgar dinding ..

And seems like I'm the only one left here with some patience left to guide you.. sigh.

haihz, note to self : Breath wasted. Sien.

Dude, So that you know, I'm actually BELOW 20, AND ALSO A STUDENT, wonder why I DONT find it hard to take things slow / one step at the time

I may be harsh to you, but those are words from 5 years worth of experiencing langgar dinding... But these advice are true, Any LFS would tell you ANYTHIGN to buy their stuff. remember that

. And don't suddenly think.. Waaa super rich guy, Its annoying, ever thought I'm also earning back in this line? But I dont just go around langgar dinding, I try and help others who are new in this hobby, well, it's your call.

Signing Off.

namely, ADA Amazonia mwehehe..

Okay ben, you asked for the critic.

pH 7.6/7 is a TAD BIT HIGH , I believe the beach sand is to blame.

Most of our tanks are around pH6.8..

Most of your listed plants would melt away soon with no c02 and enough lighting and that kind of temperature.

If you do intend to improve, let us know. I'm sure some of us here are still willing to help.

i used to have those black sand in my tank.. then i added gex onto it..then mix liao.. now add ADA about 4kg ontop of it..
lol u guys bickering just makes my day rclxms.gif
*
Bickering? It's about time I knock some sense into him.

When I say glosso would die without c02 and adequate lighting, ( note that the wpg rule does not apply to tanks below 20Gallon )

he said " Will see how the plant go first " , Sure Flame me inside ma.. Advice already still ignore..

Be warned that amazonia 1 needs a slightly longer cycling period compared to amazonia 2..

Amazonia 2, my rack runnign for 1 week nia I also tossed my CRS in already lol.. Amazonia 1 I'm not so daring to do that.

@tenchi,

Elatine Triandra is hard to come by.. I'm hoping mine survives.. very delicate plant haha.. I can source for you, But i promise you it's not cheap as it is quite rare up here

Shipping would be cheaper, but the risk of it melting in post is VERY HIGH.. took me 3 attempts to get an almost healthy batch up here..

I believe both are fine with CRS... Cherries indefinite.(surely can with any soil)

I just don't really like A2 because it breaks down way faster..

and do as what pinchy said, monitor the pH levels... we won't want them to feel a pH spike..

No worries Ben, won't bising you already. letting you do what you want your way..

@blinded, you're right on the spiral tubes.. very reason why you don't see it as a main type of light for aquariums..
