nah..not because of oxygen....with only DIY CO2...it's okay....based on my experience.....1.5ft cherry tank...DIY co2....they breed and breed....i believe is ur water parameter...maybe u spend on ur test kit 1st.....then u'll know better about ur tank ben

agree with chupps bout the test kit....i seldom use also....just sometime see my tank awhile nothing to do so test test like this...hahaah

i dose NPK and ferropol everyday....dun ask me how much i put..just a cupful.....lol...i'm a noob in fert....but well..so far no algea outbreak yet..*touch wood*..so i consider my ferting dosage is okay....lol..

and who say new tank will have algea.....my tank almost one month..no algea yet!!

p/s:i'm going to be slapped hard by algea one day by saying out this statement

for 1fter..HOB is okay...but as for carpet grass...any in mind coz with carpet grass..u need to concentrate on ligthing already...

my tank....HC is not doing good...but after i add fert...NPK and ferropol...i can see new leafs coming out..but because of the unstable CO2 supply by DIY CO2..and insufficient....they are not doing good overall....mereasia also...lol....buy some el-cheapo crypt plant to provide hiding place for my cherries...my main target is the moss....left side is peacock moss..right side is taiwan moss....lol....well..i think the next major rescape will be after next year cny with more lighting and a proper CO2 system.....

i feel paiseh to show actually....i suck in imagining scape..lol

oh yea..i dun have base fert as well....lol....new ADA soil also for next major rescape.....now finding funding

yea cata bro....i agree...actually i started off with the flat front part...but i refill the water everyday and the water causing the front soil become wavy tho...lol....totally agree with u that no oscillating soil in front..will make the soil flat again in this coming days:)

i just notice i have green spot algea...bravo...

i remember mine 1 day die 1 CRS till 2 weeks completely died 14 CRS....lol...
