test drove the EX and SX over the weekend. brought my thumbdrive with more MP3s this time heheh... i heart the Forte SX!!! smile.gif

EX - 15" wheels, so handling was too light, didn't really feel the 'better acceleration'.

SX - 17" wheels, handling was like a dream!!! (took a 135° corner at 90km and we all hardly budged or swayed from seats), didn't really feel the 'slower than EX acceleration'

QUESTION: does anyone know where i can see the BLACK color? called a few showrooms, asked all the SA, went down to Pavilion, no one seems to know where the black is sad.gif naza... black is such a popular color... wtf mate... wtf?

i got a suria now, which i plan to trade in for the forte. had it for 2-1/2years already. so far i've no complaints about the services. normally sent to authorised service centre for normal service. only once went to setapak main service centre to claim master brake system. all settled within 1 day. not much problem with the car so far other than that.
*
tks for reply spawnster! was it covered under warranty, your master brake sys?

Added on November 29, 2009, 6:32 pmconfirm no Cruise control right, for 1.6?

silly question, has anyone actually installed cruise control? like with a 3rd party supplier, or something?

but in future (after my warranty expire lah) i will upgrade the ICE.... but not now as touching the ICE will only void our warranty....
hi bomberman, was lookin at the std built-in ICE and was thinking, how to upgrade the ICE? seems like there's no empty 'slot'? the SA also got this duh look on his face -> hmm.gif hahah
and also my fren's older accord, apparently the aircond + ICE is on the same circuit board or something like that?

sorry if it's a n00b question! smile.gif

ok i hav some serious questions about safety:

- does anyone hav more info about the crash test ratings for this car? from online research, only US and Aus hav conducted these tests (since this car not sold in Euro), with US giving good ratings and Aus giving not so good for our dear legs in front impact unsure.gif

- also, can anyone confirm that the Forte has any compliance to any child seat standards? e.g. ISOfix or etc?

hope someone has some good answers nod.gif

any idea front koup bumper can fit forte sedan?
any official kia bodykit?
*
shamsul, that was the first thing i thought about when i saw the Koup! tongue.gif
if you look at the pics online (Sedan vs Koup), i think the answer is no, to a one-for-one swap. Due to the nice wide garang wheel arches of the Koup, i don't think the sides will fit the sedan unsure.gif

what do u guys think?

Really want to walk in to show room and feel this car....try to compare this car with my new city...don't know this car sound system good or not compare my new city...
*
Only one way to find out, Lowyat... go test with ur thumbdrive/audio CD tongue.gif

Do let us know the results yeah! So curious... city ICE better or forte?
I tried with my thumbdrive, with 128kbps, 192kbps, and 320kbps CBR and VBR mp3s.... simply red, linkin park, BEP, emi fujita, all sounded awesome to me. The 'soundstage' effect was definitely there, considering it's only mp3! cool.gif

that's true. anyone has any b&w on the windscreen warranty?

so far very very unimpressed by entire sales frontline of KM, different info flying all over the place! i know it's probably KM's fault, and the SAs are trying their best, but sometimes their best just isn't good enough.

all i can say is, thank goodness for that Kia Msia guy on facebook!
