You add strangers in your BBM?? :S

You can add and delete just like that. Its not like a phone number or a home address where it is so private. The best is to use bar code rather than the pin.

My point was; we have the luxury to give it a try(publicize bar code in public, add strangers etc) bcoz the system is secured.
If the person is not up to your taste/standard, u can just delete them and move on with your life without being scared of being stalk or whatsoever.
Unless u've given them too many details for them to stalk u, then thats ur fault.

I can spam you with PIN message, ever thought about it?

And one weakness of BBM maybe not many people realized, yes when you delete me from your BBM contact list, it will automatically delete yours from my BBM contact list, but if i back up my contact list (either thru BBM feature or Desktop Manager), I will still have you in my list, I wont be able to contact you ( if i do so, it will say you are not in my contact list and it will ask to reinvite you), but whenever you change your photo, i can always see it (contact profile). Just sharing my experience of using Blackberry for close to 3 years

Well then I do agree in some point if some people use their blackberry for fun (not a serious thing).

Just sharing my 2 cents

I doubt u can PIN spam someone. Thats what so unique about "Push Technology". Everything will go thru a server then to our BBs. If I deleted someone, it automatically tells the server to block that person. Its not like phone number, when u deleted the phone number, the person cant call u.

But, I take your point as something to ponder upon. Its possible for a l337 to h4x0r the server and BOMB pin our BBs.

I just want to remove somebody if I think they're bugging me with msgs and such. Thats it.

I've been spammed with BBM Messages when I joined this one particular group (invited by one of my friend) but I just simply delete that guy and the rest of the group from my BBM and it all went well afterward, no more spams..
