precisely. if we are omnivores we should be eating meat and veggies.

besides, many people become vegetarian without realising that they're actually malnourished

That depends of you were a meat eater previously and then u suddenly become vegetarian then its bad. u have to cut down slowly, then your body actually balances proper nutrition's.

didnt you see it? if you changed your diet, you are creating imbalance foodchain...

the herbivours would have to have food fight with you... and pest and lower food chain would multiply ever increasingly

I don't see how monks of age 100+ are malnourished. Vegetables/nuts are a good source of protein. Ironically its overnutrition that kills us these days rather than malnutrition

ur body doesnt do the balancing, u need to do the balancing itself. vegetarianism is troublesome as u need to go to great lengths to cover the gap left by omitting meat in your diet.

LOL do u even know how many types of protein are needed in our daily diet? do u know what combination of nuts and legumes to take to fulfill these requirements?

like i said, most people just want to go vegetarian and do not take into consideration the study needed to understand the types of food that is essential for vegetarians to maintain a balanced diet.

and when it comes to that, y go thru all the trouble when there's meat for u?

as long as its significantly cheaper (than slaughtered animal), fills the stomach,
vat-grown meat will take off.

probably won't pass off as kfc drumstick, but expect this in your sausage and burger patties when it passes FDA

moot, cloned human will probably have rights too, assuming they're fully functional/conscious, like identical twin maybe
it'll also probably be cheaper, faster(less documentation) to get through black market,
or through cell-stripping and scaffolding

on the other hand, cloned human meat for consumption...

is cloned meat equals to Genetically modified meat?

if it is genetically modified in a way that provide the essential nutrients. i don't see any harm of consuming it .

While I'm all for GM food and cloning, I suppose part of the main concern is to show that there are no side effects of consuming it.

But then again there will always be a group of people claiming such technology is an act of 'playing God'

if at all possible, i believe cloning for food isnt needed as of now in the global food situation. not as much as GM anyway. it's somewhat...redundant to clone for food...

A human dentition suggest otherwise... We have 2 sets of dentition in a lifetime and both of the dentition suggest that we are purely herbivours... Even omnivores in the animal kingdom have a bigger canine, smaller set of molars and a bigger temporalis muscle (muscle you use to eat) than we do, if you study comparative anatomy, we are born to be vegans... biggrin.gif Food for thought

Don't get me wrong, I love my meat... thumbup.gif

Well, for one, I don't mind eating Dolly, the cloned sheep... If you really consider that it's just made up of protein same that has the same genetic content as the clonee, it really has no side effect on consuming them..

By the way, I generally do believe that we DO indeed produce enough food for the world... (Not too sure what carbon footprint has to do with the food production) But we have a huge unequal distribution of food and wealth in the world...
