logo faded a very common thing for surface like xai and ikari laser...steel series should improve on this problem coz it really spoil my mood when i see the logo faded so easily...

Actually what I wanna ask is like the USB soundcard does support 7.1, but some games like the recent 1 Modern Warfare 2 the audio option only come with 5.1, so does it mean when I select the 5.1 option then it will override the USB 7.1? Performing 5.1 instead of 7.1?

I just wanna ask opinion from those who have the soundcard, surely I can't test it on the shop unless I pay 1st..haha...

diff between 5.1 and 7.1 is the 7.1 has extra 2 channels - left rear and right rear.
so if the source is 5.1, obviously those 2 extra channels will be ignored ignored.

go google to see how a 5.1 and 7.1 is setup to understand more.

Ok my review of the siberia usb new firmware
very easy to setup for most user,only complain is that they dindnt include 4h in this firmware
Music-No nid hassle of adjusting the EQ,they done it for you and output the best sound quality into your steelseries earphone
Game-They put it to the nearest sharp and bass balanced sound..so you wont have extra treble on your gameplay that affects the reality in game but you still can use the treble eq setting if you nid more treble or just adjust it on the EQ tab
The new firmware is easy to use and setup,just select the game type you play and the headset(steelSeries ones xcept 4h and the in ear) and it'll do the adjustment for you
but lack of 44.1Khz and 48Khz that i found it quite useless

but why SS headset (lets say neckband) emits 18 - 28.000 Hz

human ear lowest to LISTEN may be 20hz.
lower frequency will be by FEEL.
thats why sometimes the bass got no kick cos it cant push out the low freq well...and thats also why higher end headphones can start at 10hz.
