QUOTE(orestes @ Dec 10 2009, 09:51 AM) so the keyword... Hehe, nice way of seeing things, i think id consider myself SOMEWHAT of an old collector,.. But i think it only pisses of SOME of the old collectors,.. read on...cant afford & demands .. ? i thought collectors excited about the reissue because they were new in this hobby, and tf being reissue meaning opportunity for them to buy at ease manner.. looking from the old aspect, those who been collecting since past few years.. they will debate about this as their mindset always been comparing the 1st issue wit later issues ... when new collectors, they dont see it that way... that is why, we seen so many questions asking.. what's the difference this and that... it's not about affordable... but rather their perspective seeing it as something they can have than paying for something they dont exactly know of qualities compare to previous releases ... when a collector looking for something.. 1st reason for that, is the popularity and poisons spreaded among current collectors .. making them want it to be in their collection.. reissued stuff wasnt meant to satisfy the new collectors wishes or huntlist.. i look at it at business perspective.. where there's demands, there's opportunities.. but this always pisses the old collectors.. saying that reissue will only degrade the value of 1st issues... Reissues frankly makes me happy!! Its a fair chance for EVERYONE who is PASSIONATE about this fandom. Even for ME myself, reissues gives me a chance to own whatever that i wanted, but was not attainable... And reissues also does one other thing in particular (which i find very exciting and ausing), it flushes out the prouds, and the snots from the community who think they're all high and mighty, by shooting down the reissues and everything that revolves around it, including price. I mean lol seriously? Dont get your panties up in a bunch just because the corporation that YOU'RE buying the toys from are deciding to make another run,.. Im not sayin names, but i've seen some of these type ard... lol Its just unfortunate, that the quality is degraded [case:Bruticus, taktom mp02 etc], BUT FOR SOME, the quality remains the same [case: ths02, encore g1 prime etc] I dont really give too hoots if its a reissue or not, if i have it, then good! If i dont, then i'll see if the quality [increase, decrease or constant] fits the price of the reissue, or if i should just pay a lil more for a first issue, like orestes said,... Demands, and affordability... |
