To all sifus especially Lord_Ashe... biggrin.gif

I'm looking for 29 inch CRT tv and since this is my first time, quite confuse which model (brand) to get. I've checked the price and seem that the price for various manufactures almost same.Around RM1.5K for HD ready tv.

My usage is for Astro,DVD and PS2.

Thanks in advance notworthy.gif

LOL to be honest there are plenty more sifus like PSPboy, me I'm just an amateur fan  notworthy.gif

I will recommend either the Sony or Philips, if you can get it at that price. These two manufacturers have the best picture quality of the CRT bunch, IMO. Not only that, they also are generous with connections. You'll want S-video for Astro, Component for PS2 and DVD.

I would stay away from the Samsung Slimfits, are the picture quality is so-so. Hope this helps!

Well, guess i choose sony coz easier to find.I got two model in mind and both have the same price and also HD ready but i dunno which one to get.Can you help me with the spec, which one is better?

i know astro looks bad on LCD.

got myself samsung 32R71B last week. But i dint know it's THAT bad.

My mum was like "Why spend so much money and looks worse than CRT?"
I cannot counter her on this one. Malu laaa...I know watching DVD w/ upscaler can project 1080i, but most of my time is watching ASTRO. sad.gif

Then, these Sony S-series coming out with ASTRO enchancement mode. A bit regret.

Did anyone manage to come out with a solution to this astro crappy prob?

Bro,can you share some photo with me?Wanna know how bad is it.If really bad then must kensel buying lcd tv alredi.

Thanks notworthy.gif

I read here that the wall mount can get from Jalan Pasar (if u in the Klang Valley). Here also have one thread

About the installation maybe can do yourself. Not so difficult (for lcd),onli need people to help you lift the tv.

I know it's easy by there is no place to install the bracket because, trust me, u wouldnt want to install ur tv on the brick wall. It's just not safe.
*
But i think some of the forumer here already mounted their lcd tv on the wall.Btw,i also ask my wife who is a civil engineer and she said that the brick wall (normally use to build houses)should be strong enough to sustain the load.

both sony 32v or 32s series are both 1366x768 pixels... no full 1080p HD .... so too are the KLV-40V200A and KLV-46V200A models.. only with one hdmi connection... how about dell 2707, 2407 fot 1920x1200 pixels
*
funny coz in their advert (sony) write that their tv is FULL HD . Marketing strategy i guess.Dell is nice although have minor issue with the mapping thing but the size onli 24 inch ler.

No, i actually designed a TV cabinet that mounted wholly on the wall. Then I mount the LCD on the cabinet. Looks sleek cause all cables can be hidden behind the cabinet.

Wah,really nice bro thumbup.gif .Do u design (made) the cabinet yourself or ask shop do for u base on your design? And what type of wood that u use?
