hahaha.. yea.. tat expensive cos it consist of a motor to open close ur mirror, motor to adjust your mirror angle, and lastly a signal light biggrin.gif

but u can also buy parts like just the back cover (not painted), mirror and signal light. This few item will cost half the price of the whole thing.

Wait.. When they said 500km+ per full tank, they meant by RM70?

So means all the time I've been comparing RM50~RM56(my refill everytime the lights come out) to RM70(vios full tank)?

With average of RM55 refill, I could go at least 370km O.O
My meter reads 12km/l~15km/l. So NHC was awesome afterall laugh.gif
*
yes! Now you get it. Full tank dun mean anything when you do not know their capacity. And in order for vios to get that efficiency also it has to depend on the way they drive as well. NHC ain't too bad.

Hi guys/gals,

when i went to yuubi building to install my yuubi lock (near Rawang Tesco), the shop owner introduce me to a steering lock + air bag protector. It looks like any other steering lock except it has a metal plate to cover the steering in order to deter the theft of airbag (i heard it is around rm 2XXX for airbag replacement).

Anyways, the method of using it is to turn your steering wheel at a 3 o'clock position. The locking mechanism will lock at the side of the steering wheel which is thicker compared to the top one..
Question is, my dad always tell me to align the steering wheel when i parked. But now the steering lock requires me to align the steering wheel into a 3'o clock position. Will this harm the car? (alignment?)
*
u can leave your steering at any position. it don't harm anything.

QUOTE(TarePanda @ Mar 7 2010, 03:25 PM)
Well, you wont feel it for older version city...prefer my brother's city than my NHC on this issue
*
older city version uses CVT gearbox it has much smoother gear change. Different people prefer different feeling. I think the gear shift feeling in NHC felt much better biggrin.gif

i dont know how to tell if it sluggish or not coz i change the rims the 2nd day i got the car thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif  so far its ok but i think i pick quite bad tires as it a lil bit noisy....cornering quite good...it never hit the body whut so ever although entering tight corner at 120kph....

Wow.. that's real fast. you don't get to feel the difference then biggrin.gif

QUOTE(MoNnY @ Mar 16 2010, 10:50 PM)
agree. don't bother with trade in value and all that la. just use what u have now till takde bunga then change to a better set of tyres
*
agree. if there is no plan to change new rims, then dun bother about changing tyre. It's really a waste. better to use it till botak then only consider a new set of tyre. No matter how bad it is also, max also drive slower when it rain or during cornering lor.

Hey guys, need your advise and help here.

I just got my City 2 weeks back and yesterday when decided to wash the car, I realised that my driver's side car mat is soaked with wet. And when I took out the mat, I realised that the floorboard is wet as well. Literally soaked. What do you think is the issue here? I'm heading to check with the service centre later but I was thinking maybe any of you guys could help out first. Well for sure, I didn't misplaced any water bottle and the water leaked. So, it is strange with just my driver side being affected. Any idea anyone?
*
window and door closed tight? if there is not obvious fault with the placement of the rubber seal, quite impossible for the floorboard to be soaked with water. wet stil acceptable.

Minor problem here and there sure got a little. If it is not too bad, it's acceptable. My dad's friend got a brand new merz recently also comes with loads of problems. Why? hahaha. End of the day, just give and take for minor problem. If it's gonna happen, it'll happen no matter what car you are buying. wink.gif What matter is the level of service provided only (But that depend on the person u dealt with)

My right rear body has kemek a bit too and everything seriously scratched... erghhhhhhhhh....... sad.gif sad.gif
I am thinking to claim insurance for this since my NCB is just 25%. Please, anyone can recommend me where to fix this with superb good skill in Klang valley? or I should bring back to Honda SC to fix this for me? This is my first car and I have not much knowledge on this. Please guide me. Thanks 1st.

** when saw it, my heart was like bleeding and pain till speechless... sad.gif sad.gif
*
if you are claiming insurance, go back to honda SC and you should have peace of mind everything is done according to honda's spec. And if your car is 1st year after purchase, by right you should be covered under HIP, honda's insurance program which will have quick approval and bla bla.. unless of course u opt for other insurance when u purchase the car.
sorry to hear bout ur car's damage. Those are idiots!

the door visor also quite worth it rite? to reduce the wind sounds...

is ur honda city quiet while u are inside the car? can hear the wind sound if got says motorbike passed by ur car???

Added on April 10, 2010, 11:51 pm

door visor is to reduce wind sound le, the boot tray is to protect the boot le...........
*
Most of the time door visor creates additional noise/sound to the car especially wen it is not installed properly. But it definitely don't help to reduce. biggrin.gif

ic.....i am staying in jb, no 3M service centre to install the tint, but i will order from 3M directly they will send ppl down to jb for installation.

malaysia car stolen case so many? u really dun scare ah?? haha becos i know thief they like to steal car with NOTHING AT ALL....meaning not even a physical security lock (even cheapo one).......

insurance can cover la at most 90% of ur loss, but still got other loss in terms of time, ur personal belongings etc le....haha

i am going to install some local security lock + connex satellite tracking system then i think perfect liao  biggrin.gif

of course not 100% secured, but at least feel safer....

Added on April 11, 2010, 9:14 am

ic, seems like a lot of ppl like 3M tint also. So how is ur experience with 3M tint? really can effectively reduce heat or not???

comparing to vkool, which one is better???

and u guys all tint entire car rite? got affect GPS navigator and SmartTag or not???
*
90% is only based on the insured amount. You got to note that once you buy your car, the insured amount is already 10% lower than your purchase price. And have to add on those accesories and belongings that you have in your car. you easily lost 20% of what you paid.

QUOTE(Neiji @ Apr 12 2010, 12:07 AM)

So my concern is will my car also get this kind of rusty issue??
*
Just a little rust. And it is not really a big issue that affect the car's safety and so on.

QUOTE(kons @ Apr 12 2010, 09:51 AM)
I noticed some rusty nuts and probably few arms in my NHC as well..

Anyway, being rusty is no big deal.
My good old wira battery retainer, the one which locks the battery in place, has been rusty since year 2000 and now it's already 2010 and the rust has not cause the piece of metal to break into 2 yet.
And it is so much thinner than the suspension arm in the NHC.

Since I'm not going to drive the NHC for as long as the Wira.. Lets hope it won't be break off until I sell off the car.
*
nod.gif u got my point there bro. And that part looks like a cast iron and this type of material is prone to surface rust if there is no coating.

QUOTE(kindaichi @ Apr 12 2010, 10:46 AM)
exactly, if the car was lost, u only get back rm81k at MOST.... at least rm9k + personal belonging, accessories are lost as well. that's why i want to install the connex satellite tracking, at least feel safer, even car really lost and cannot recover, can claim up to rm10k from them + additional rm5k for bill incurred due to the lost...  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif
*
yeap. u r rite. getting claims from connex is also a form to minimize your if touch wood so bad luck. But the initial investment is a turn off. tongue.gif i alos can't invest that much blush.gif

anyway if u r looking at a little power then get the vtec version and if u want fuel saving all the way, idsi will be the better choice. happy buying

no choice lo....expensive also must spend, becos feel safer, nowadays even install the local system lock also useless.......becos the thief can just tow away ur car............ hmm.gif  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

With connex, are they able to know that your car is towed and not driven by you? Wondering if you leave your car for few hours and it's towed but you only go back to your much later which is too late.. It may already be on the way to some other country or in pieces biggrin.gif

QUOTE(jytanx @ Apr 13 2010, 07:06 PM)
Hey mate. Mind explaining how do you check about the rust part?
*
Get a camera with bright flash, go to the front wheel. Placed your camera at the 12 o'clock position of the inner of your wheel, faced it down and take a picture. Then look at the picture to see if there is any rusty part. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Neiji @ Apr 13 2010, 07:16 PM)
So the rust part is safe or unsafe?? Some says normal la...some say very dangerous la...don't know listen who~~~~

Still concerning whether the one I book is rusty 1 or non-rusty
*
Safe for the time being. It's a piece of iron as big as a baby's hand. No matter how rusty it is, it takes time to corrode to break into pieces (if it has to)

What is wrong with my NHC.. icon_question.gif
Fuel consumption is 10.0km/l
Terribly low.

My RPM meter has never gone beyond 3k before.
Already driven around 1k km now...
Just done with first service.
*
Just whack it and FC will be ok.. I think your effort to keep it below 3k rpm is the major prb to high FC tongue.gif

QUOTE(arlam @ Apr 21 2010, 03:45 PM)
well, it costs SGD200 here. it's just a piece of rubber/plastic to protect water spills or when carrying some wet stuff or stuff that can make the boot wet (iced meat, groceries). Took me 10mins to trace and cut it out with a knife, 10mins, save SGD200, why not tongue.gif
*
I did about the same as you but i uses coil mat tongue.gif.
Now got questions if it's worth the effort? I buy a huge roll of it and customised my own coil carpet mat as well. About RM450 for 1 midi mpv, 1 nhc and 1 van inclusive of boot mat for mpv and nhc. tongue.gif

Recently a friend of mine told me it's better to start from D3-D.
And I've been applying this in my daily drive.
I realize it's faster from 0-60km/h.

But whenever i'm at the traffic light, I need to drop from N-D-D3. I wonder if I keep doing this, the gearbox will ''kong'' quickly? One of my friend been doing on his FD2 for a few years and nothing happen so far. Need advice asap. TQ!~
*
it's design to be that way. No harm to gearbox. Maybe some wear and tear.

I even heard a saying that if you just use ''D'', the wear and tear on that part will be the greatest and things like that.
Anyone accelerate their car initial from D3-D as well?

not sure which method the wear and tear is greatest, but there are so many auto tranny cars on the road and how many that actually complains of high wear n tear maintenance? It's probably not noticeable.

Hi guys, just got my city last few weeks. anyways, i have a weird situation where at the driver door, the small gap between the door and the car body, when i open the door it's scratching against the car body... until paint also came off. my dad brought it to the service center and ask them y is it like that then they guy said after driving a while with the bumpy roads, the door position shifted causing it to be like this.
i was like "har??! wat??" then the more i drive later the wheels also drop out lo?
even after they repaired that, they slightly shifted the front part of the car (signal light part) then the joint at the windscreen out of place edi sad.gif
can anyone advise me on what to do now? i'll take pics so u guys can understand better wat i described
*
Ask that unprofessional service center to write an official letter to explain what had happen to your car including this -->"after driving a while with the bumpy roads, the door position shifted causing it to be like this."

then find the right channel like honda, cc copies of letter to consumer tribunal and watsoever. this is something not acceptable in general. Even if I were to buy the cheapest car in the world I do not expect it to fall apart from my bumpy road ride.
