From the previous post, the method to remove the :"ikee" is by JB your phone.
This virus spread by my iPhone 2G --> direct transfer backup to 3Gs and i got it from there without JB my 3GS.

Any ways that without JB my 3Gs am able to remove the "iKee" virus?

Anyway to bypass JB-ing my 3Gs wish to play with original firmware been jaibraeking since V1.1 onwards.
Well i just try to check my bootrom whether is it suitable to JB but i just tried under DFU mode i cant see any iboot information (using Mac) with the procedure where davidgary73 posted up.

Will this help if my unit from 88002 that able to JB under PwnageTool_3.1.4?

This "ikee" really annoy something giving me this msg "never give up"

Well if 3.1.3 can solve my "ikee" virus im glad to try but if i flash to 3.1.3 n the "Rick Astley" is still there, guess is a waste to upgrade to 3.1.3 n no way i can downgrade to 3.1.2 and perform JB.

In this case, i might try some luck on upgrading to 3.1.3 though....hope the virus will be gone

Any new when 3.1.3 able to JB in near future?

p/s: really miss Lockdown app that can protect all the applications in my phone with JB....

I got a locked 3GS and upgraded to 3.1.3 recently.
Can I unlock / activate it? Because I stuck at the emergency call stage ><

1) we won't brick our phone with JB,right?
2) we can restore all the setting and send back to Maxis to claim warranty if needed, right?
3) blackrain and redsnow, which one better? I see mosst of the guide in redsnow.

i have been using the phone for a while but just now, shit happens

i was trying to call a friend, but the phone froze and showing no signal (been happening few times before but normally it will recover itself) but after i wait for few minutes nothing changes!

after i tried to restart the phone... BOOM! froze on the apple logo screen forever!

even i plugged into my computer and try to restore it, itunes and blackra1n cant detect it!

Is it safe to jailbreak with pwnage tool for iphone 3gs, firmware 3.1.3, baseband 05.12.01?

im new to iphone, bricked mine within hours of getting it. screwed up my pc as well in the process, brought it back to maxis for unbrick and they updated it to 3.1.3.

Just JB & unlocked my locked 3G set yesterday with FW 3.1.2 using blackra1n. So far only encountered 2 problems:-
1) Unable to use YouTube at all. 'Cannot connect to YouTube'
2) Unable to locate current location. 'Your location could not be determined'

Already download the FW from 2 diff PC & did it again, even after 3rd try oso the outcome the same, any solution guys?

I would need some advice from all sifu here.

My bf just bought a iphone 3GS from UK from his friend which he claimed i's unlocked and jailbreaked.

He asked us to use blackrain to turn on the iphone. However, when we plugged the iphone through USB to my computer, the screen in iphone shows a USB plug and iTunes; when we clicked for "make it rain", my computer shows error message.

We would need assistance from all sifu here to understand what errors occured with the iphone.

jailbreak 3gs 3.1.3 5.11.02 but when i try to unlock using blacksn0w, it just hang for sometime and start to reboot then it will stuck forever at the apple logo. anyone know how to fix this?
