lol @ssshole pplz
i am ilvl861 Fury warrior. If i see u dont do 200k dps, i wouldnt say a thing, i would most likely carry u. Our guild always carry ppls in normal EN so no biggie and contribute gear to casual players. But, if u r in heroic EN, i would expect u have flask+food buff, and do over 230k above. In case u r wondering, if a person join the raid, the boss hp multiple by 40. We won't scold u if u r new in raid, we will give u plenty of chance for u to shine and help u learn the mechanic of the boss, but if u do it repeatable, we somehow going to doubt ur ability to play the game and going to deem u a casual player. Remember, this is a team game, no solo game. We have to do our part.
In mythic normal dungeon, if u do lowest dps i dont mind, but honestly.... if u do ur utmost damage, we can cleared dungeon faster and move on with our life. think of it this way, everyone wants to finish dungeon asap, but u r the only person who just simply play. Are u wasting our group time? think about it?
well this game can be casual for u, just avoid mythic +, normal EN and heroic EN. Do old content, collect transmog, sometime play PvP and do normal mythic. The rest i highly suggested to avoid it unless u r doing it with ur guildmate.
I partially blame Blizzard for this. (at least this expansion)
casuals like me, LFR is a yay for us. It basically serves as a great thing for casuals (hey, can at least experience the raids yo)
but in this expansion, if you notice; a lot of the quests (especially orange / legendary) requires "MYTHIC DUNGEON / MYTHIC RAID" (normal dungeon tabuli, normal raid, i'm not so sure).
I understand Blizzard needs to implement some sort of gating, but by artificially gating the majority casuals (well, i dare say its majority lah) doesn't promote players to "learn to raid".
After all, gating the raids was something that the hardcore audience wanted for their e-penors, and Mythic was their "holy ground" where no casuals will touch. And i'm fine with it.
But its when Blizzard try to "force" casuals to go hardcore, that's where the real problem (in this case) because the casuals will whine (because its way beyond the abilities, not like we want ez-mode, just let us experience the stuff, but you can keep the way better stuffs for the mythic e-penor strokers) and the hardcore audiences will find their "holy ground of epic eliteness" once again "polluted" and "desecrated" by influx of casuals who just want to raid for the quest / item.
It's Blizzard, I tell ya. They're trying too hard to get back to the "good old days" of Ultima Online style "you must be of this that class and this that style".
