The TLDR edition :

If you want to play free, and with Malaysians (but in a sea of Chinese speaking community, go WoW Taiwan. There's a guide)

If you plan to play from scratch in USA/ EU / Oceania, you'll need to fork out nearing RM500 (especially if you go for digital deluxe edition) . For Base game + related expansions + time card. If you set up subscription in advance the cost balloons up (because you pay upfront) to nearing 700 or so.

If you plan to play in the USA/EU/Oceania, have a friend use "recruit a friend" feature. That way you get an extra 30 days on top of your 30 days (from the Base game) with lots of powerlevel services freebies from Blizzard that you and your friend will DEFINITELY enjoy since the new expansion is coming out in two weeks time and you'll need all the advantage you can get

this is correct. I forgot that its now a cheaper bundle. OR, play WOW Taiwan, where you only need to pay for subsription fee (no need to buy expansion and base game)

okay lah, i've been doing the shitty ring quest for 2 months ++, now need 33 tomes and 25/25 treasures on naval missions.. /facepalm GG.com goodbye ring

Is it just me or now the game is turning into elitist jerks?

I'm a beastmaster hunter (basically i'm a casual, and i can't play melee classes competitively. Period. For some odd reason beastmaster hunters are simple enough for me to enjoy life, yet in raids i'm already taxed enough due to slow reactions, etc), but i'm finding it very difficult to get PUGs just because i'm at 840

There are times I get to run with others, (who are in same situations) and we get to run a smooth experience (mythic dungeons are not as bad as what people think, but for some reason there are a lot of jerks)

And what's with "if you're pulling us down, we'll kick you out? Or its just that i'm not getting good ones through the group finder feature?

Yeah. The pets are FUN to have around. Kill, fetch, go around looking for stuffs, etc. Sometimes its always "DAMMIT HUNTER OFF YOUR BARRAGE" and i go "dude, i don't even have barrage". (i use other talents due to it being a lesser drama, though i still can do 25% damage of the dungeon (so as to have the numbers backing my position)

But the "omg you're a LFR / non mythic runner" really puts me off. Not to mention when the game now wants people to do NORMAL raids (not LFR) in order to achieve targets. Its not helpful by Blizz, and definitely not helpful by the general community which is getting toxic around "i'm a mythic runner and you're not".

But where I am (Shu'halo) some of the raiding guilds are ultra competitive wan.

I think its partly sue to Blizz's fault for the so called enrage timer, now if boss aint down in a minute = fail. I am like ”WTF?"

Like that bronze / silver / gold rank for the training. Even when i got silver, its a no go for them. Meh

Well.. at least there's still openraid, and its quite good.

I partially blame Blizzard for this. (at least this expansion)

casuals like me, LFR is a yay for us. It basically serves as a great thing for casuals (hey, can at least experience the raids yo)

but in this expansion, if you notice; a lot of the quests (especially orange / legendary) requires "MYTHIC DUNGEON / MYTHIC RAID" (normal dungeon tabuli, normal raid, i'm not so sure).

I understand Blizzard needs to implement some sort of gating, but by artificially gating the majority casuals (well, i dare say its majority lah) doesn't promote players to "learn to raid".

After all, gating the raids was something that the hardcore audience wanted for their e-penors, and Mythic was their "holy ground" where no casuals will touch. And i'm fine with it.

But its when Blizzard try to "force" casuals to go hardcore, that's where the real problem (in this case) because the casuals will whine (because its way beyond the abilities, not like we want ez-mode, just let us experience the stuff, but you can keep the way better stuffs for the mythic e-penor strokers) and the hardcore audiences will find their "holy ground of epic eliteness" once again "polluted" and "desecrated" by influx of casuals who just want to raid for the quest / item.

It's Blizzard, I tell ya. They're trying too hard to get back to the "good old days" of Ultima Online style "you must be of this that class and this that style".

WTA, is skinning still "viable"? I'm spending 1-2 hours daily to skin, but in the past Stonehides were profitable enough (to at least buy wow tokens with gold).

BTW, is it just me, or am I doing it wrong?

Why the **** is Blizzard gating every single quests behind Mythic and making solo casuals like me suffer? What's their intent at gating everything behind mythic? Its punishing enough to go through that mythic content, and even more punishing to find players to make a group.

What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions?
