So 2x 120mm front fan intake ( both are buy 1), side 120mm fan stock x1 intake, 1 rear exhaust 120mm and 1 top exhaust 140mm rite?  rclxms.gif
*
erm... no need for the side panel intake IMHO believe me, it's gonna be quieter and a lot less dust buildup without a fan on the side panel smile.gif

I am looking for a white quiet case with modern minimalistic design.

My fairly old setup is as follows: ATX Motherboard with a massive Sapphire Radeon HD5870 & 4 HDDs RAID 10. No special cooling required.

Any recommendations? Budget about RM300-700. Thanks
*
white and quiet... only the Fractal Design XL comes to mind

Hey guys looking for a casing that is silent and have very good airflow so I don't have to buy cooler to oc. Budget around RM 400. Here's what I got:

Fractal Design R4
Bitfenix Shinobi
Cooler Master Silencio 550
Cooler Master CM 690 II Advance
Cosair Carbide 330R
NZXT H230

Thanks.
*
the Fractal Design R4 is your best bet in this case, the others is not much of a silence chassis

you don't have to, but it's recommended

reason is that when you OC, temps go up so a better cooler will be able to cool it better compared to the stock HSF

QUOTE(lucidlts @ Oct 14 2013, 03:12 PM)
please don't mislead others, you won't burn things to crisp due to improper cooling.
A CM Hyper 212X is pretty much enough to keep a 3570K below 85° running at 4.0GHz.
Having a highend wc setup but max oc to 4.5 only, not really worth to invest, just my humble opinion of course.  sweat.gif
*
QUOTE(hmwgbworld @ Oct 14 2013, 04:34 PM)
Indeed, the money spent on WC might able to get an i7 already, which is better processor than i5.
*
these are correct, besides processors nowadays have a safety mechanism that would shut down if it gets too hot to prevent you from destroying it.

WC is one way to cool things down so it's really up to the user if it's worth it or not, if you've got the $$$ and the time or simply want a rig that looks like no other, then WC might just be for you

any recommendations for good mid tower case with side window and good cable management potential ?

budget <RM250
*
Lots that'll fit your budget there mate, but I'll list down those with windows and good cm wink.gif

BitFenix Shinobi Window
Cooler Master Elite 311 Adv
Cooler Master K350 / K380
Thermaltake MS-1
Xigmatek Asgard 381
Xigmatek Pantheon
Xigmatek Midgard

they should all be within your budget as well wink.gif

QUOTE(XeMoAsLaM91 @ Oct 19 2013, 07:07 AM)
can i replace removable plastic covers with see true mirrors? custom.
*
if its custom, you can replace anything bro, the plastic covers you mean the 5.25" bay covers right?? I think lots of ppl done that already and if you don't have the resources to DIY, you can pm the modders in the forum to do that for you... at a price of course... try getting a hold of APES.MY or Mod'n'Go design wink.gif

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Oct 20 2013, 12:12 AM)
is it ok if i up my budget jz a little big around RM260 for corsair 300R ? worth  ?
*
Corsair is a little overpriced imo but if you like the chassis then go for it, I would hold purchases till Nov though, PC Expo is coming up and maybe can drop by the Idealtech DIY booth for good offers wink.gif

QUOTE(Cable707 @ Oct 20 2013, 05:42 PM)
No rubber grommet liao..add a bit moar for CM Storm Scout II brows.gif
*
+1 rubber grommets are heaven sent if you plan to show off the components in the PC thumbup.gif but it's still optional

QUOTE(Oyaji @ Oct 20 2013, 11:21 PM)
cm storm scout 2 do got window but not as big because of the 2 fan mounting below the window.
*
True, not really a fan of those perforated plexi myself, prefer to have a full window or at least a solid piece of plexi for the window

dilemma between obsidian 350d and prodigy m.. any suggestion?
*
put it this way,

do you want a side panel? with lots of cable management? then go for the 350D

-or-

do you want something small that's quite unique sitting on your desk? or even beside your TV? and don't care about windowed panels? then go for the Prodigy

-simple- biggrin.gif

Is Cooler Master CM693 good?
*
it is good if you like it wink.gif the thing with chassis is that not everyone will like what you like, the CM 690-series is an old time fav and the newest 690III should be an improvement over the previous gen, so yeah it should be good

[attachmentid=3726494]

the thing is most small case kinda box like red colour but i want something like some slim and dont mind if a little longer like blue one

i want something to

fit mini itx
3.5 inch hdd = 2 piece
maybe ssd i future
built in graphic is enought

price not issue now as i want to see the option first...
*
The only thing that comes into mind is the Asrock M8 Mini-ITX barebones PC, cool looking chassis that one but with some drawbacks in slim-line designs

Perhaps coz the front design just too simple/blank. Similarly to TJ08 layout and size will be PS07 iinm.
Other chasis like Bitfenix Prodigy/Colosus/Phenom mATX or Jonsbo U3 (clean and compact design) not in my list coz either lack of HDD mounts or cable management messy a little.
*
haha I just saw this, true that the Prodigy-M is lacking storage space but you could fit all of midnight2903 requirements will be okay, just a matter of preference is all that's left wink.gif

BitFenix also have the Phenom-M (No external ODD) now and the old Survivor is still worth having a look the Colossus-M also just launched and will be available in Dec

Other than that, he can try looking at Cooler Master Elite 344/343, Xigmatek Helios series, or even Lian Li and Silverstone which have good lineup of small chassis

Anyone know how much is scout 2 retailing? I bought it at RM250 months ago but saw the same place sold for RM320 now. o.o Never heard of casing price increase before
*
the scout 2 retails for about rm300 in KL, maybe you bought yours during an offer? or maybe the import price changed due to the flux in exchange rate?
