collect the review from various sources,
search for it at youtube, see trophies at ps3trophies.org <- no trophies confirm no buy except super exciting famous game like MGS 4. see is there any used game yet in garage sales then there are 2 option, a)if there are used game,buy a used one b)if there are none,search the cheapest at shop<-garage sales shop pay him using online banking. then waits for 2-3 days. and tadaa. but seriously no trophies is a major turn off for me. |

I only buy games from the genre that i like: Fighting, action adventures & RPGs. Not a fan of sports titles.
Also i tend to buy from known franchises like God of Wars, FF, Diablos, Marios, Street Fighters, etc... |

IGN is way to overrated,i'd rather go www.metacritic.com to check scores.At least that place have more reviews.
Pretty much i just see Metacritic or go with my gut feelings by watching the trailer/gameplay.If i feel like i will have fun with the game i will just get it.Seldom listen to other opinion since every1 has different taste...or just rent the game see if u like it or not...simple. |

Usually I look for game rating that is based on User's review but not the one that is rated by game reviewer. Look for user's feedback after buying the game and look for gameplay video on youtube
