tropical charters is not so commercialised as crystal yacht...they are more flexible biggrin.gif

sure sure, show more pics..i dont have much pics for tropical charters coz we were all having too much of fun and skip all the photo taking .. LOL...

i think rampant sailing is not bad too tongue.gif

tropical's yacht is slightly bigger than crystal...crystal is small yacht...
*
yea, never saw their name when i google around, hehe

i dont think i will take much pic too, only maybe the yacht a bit and food nia....hehe

yea, from pictures i see their yacht is big, i like it that i can lay down, unlike crystal one just sit there nia.

too bad i pay for it d...so nvm la.hehe

btw, is the food good? biggrin.gif

Ic.. i thot travel in langkawi from one point to another point is average 10km only lol. it seems like i need to apply physics theory in it by using constant velocity to reduce the petrol consumption.. i read thro the whole thread, i rmb some of LYN members mentioned they only used RM20 for petrol for the whole trip. I dint know petrol price increase so much to RM80.. is 4 times aw..
*
dei, already ask u go google maps see liao lo in my last few post.

but u tak mau

http://maps.google.com.my/maps?saddr=Under...mra=ls&t=m&z=12

on tuesday alone u might already drive around 100km liao

on monday also mayb 100km, considering citin hotel to oriental village is around 30km 1 way

well, it won't be enjoyable if u miscalculated the time taken from 1 place to 1 place lol, unless u dont mind suddenly cut off a few place to visit, or travelling from east to west, then back to east, then go to north east again lol

laugh.gif   laugh.gif  I don't know about you guys but you are supposed to be on a holiday. Hang loose!  doh.gif  What is this about how you drive a car or what car you drive or about saving RM10 or RM20  a day. Gee! I thought old unker like me are more 'kiamsiap'  rclxub.gif So what happens if you land on Langkawi and there are no more Kancils for hire or any cheaper cars for that fact. Turn back ? ? ? and come another day.

One fact that I know is, " I have never enjoyed going places on a tight budget ." You may never know what will come next. Excitement is doing something unexpected and definitely not those that you have already anticipated!
*
i read somewhere at some blog.... a backpacker ( i assume)

i think he is visiting vietnam....

and he want's to find a USD5/nite room, but the driver took him to a USD8 room, he don't want. then go cari another driver, this time again to another USD8 room, then he rage, and those driver laugh telling him impossible got USD5/nite room. in the end he settle in a USD6/nite room

now i think that's extreme....

PS: extremely OT i know... @@

PPS: come to think of the bold part, i kinda agree with it. maybe next time i should do lesser research liao when travelling, ah bo go all the places i already see in pictures in blog post....hmmmmmm

I never been to Vietnam, so i got no idea hows the taxi charges over there. If I'm not mistaken, the charges should be in USD.

If the backpacker is to stubborn to get a room for USD5/night, then he might ended up paying higher taxi fares by travelling here and there in search of it.

i think he is taking those motorcycle one, not taxi.

i trying hard to find the page back, but can't @@

My friend hometown is there, so accommodation and transport should not be that expensive.

I'm only budgeting for the leisure, food and of course the alcohol + chocs =)
*
Then u only spend like rm46 for ferry ticket , and maybe rm100 for bus ticket to kuala kedai

Since u staying at ur fren house , and maye get to use ur friends family car then again save

Then the rest is for entrance fees and for activities like island hoping (around rm25) , pulau payar (rm125 or rm220)

Then again the rest see u drinking blue label or black label.

Thanks, I'm flying over there. Gotten cheap ticket from Airasia, only RM36.

Her aunt has a motel business and apartment to rent for tourist, most likely will rent an apartment as we have 5 person. Not free but got discount la since family.

Will request for car as well since the aunt doing that as well, maybe with good price as well.

I'm looking at eating all the famous food specified here : thai food, seafood etc.

Don't think will drink much alcohol as the group I'm going not really into that. Maybe just get some cheap beer (Hoegarden)
*
ahhh good good. U do seems to save a lot from accommodation and transport, which is usually cost a lot

food i not sure yet...will review when i am back brows.gif

Over those you are listed above, I would vote for The Andaman. I also notice that The Danna have incredible review but never stay with them. Why not heading to Tanjung Rhu Resort? Since your wife are pregant, better go for sunset cruise rather than those mangrove tour. Either Damai Indah or Stardust does deliver great experience sailing over magnificent LGK.
*
read from trip advisor it seems andaman and sheraton is quite old?

and yes...please stay at four seasons, and bring back pictures of room lol drool.gif drool.gif

below are some info, maybe useful for you.

hi guys, just back from langkawi.
here are some info
car rental
kancil rm50
viva rm60
vios rm80
city rm100 with half tank fuel

island hoping rm25/pax
mangrove tour from rm150/boat for 2 hours
cable car rm15/pax malaysian rate
jetski rm120/ 30 mins

duty free almost same price. i would say teoh soon huat and coco valley is cheapest among all.

Added on April 4, 2012, 12:30 am

mangrove tour including boat ride to andaman sea which will be quite alot of fast boat ride. so i think it shouldn't be comfortable for your wife.

you went this year right?

if so then i am a happy man lol

Very OT, but imo that's one of the most important thing why one should go to universities biggrin.gif

u go by ferry or by flight?

if by ferry, then when you buy duty free things, tell the seller your situation, and they will give you a copy of ferry ticket for you to show to the custom that you stay for more than 2 days

Got jalan buy more than 1L liqor?

most big shop they will do that la, just asked before you buy

more than 1 liquor depends on luck

i pernah bring in more than 2litre of liquor few times when back from china , so it doesn't matter where you enter, it's the luck that matters
