Not sure call wat. How much it cost and is it got available in pantai cenang? Yes, there are. I saw quite many ppl playing it. price less than RM100, more than RM50. but since i not interested, i dint go ask 3) Is the shop eat dinner later than 8 pm? Cos many yrs ago i went once like nothing to eat at night. That time stay best star hotel in pantai cenang also. 6pm many shops start selling liao at cenang. 4) I plan buy liquor so the seller sure is chinese. I cant speak mandarin. What dialect they speak? Im will arrive morning then check in maybe noon. Will haf time for island hopping? earliest ferry is 7.15am from kuala kedah. U reach langkawi also need 9.30am liao. Island hoping usually start at 9am, or 2pm. So you can opt for 2pm one.Added on April 11, 2012, 4:27 pm so expensive the parachute thing malay sell alcohol.. not very halal la.. maybe find chinese 1 Those beach activities very expansive one, banana boat is cheap, i think RM15 nia. Most shop that sell alcohol sure got hire malay. QUOTE(zstan @ Apr 11 2012, 05:28 PM) lol i must have been really lucky. my friend just pass me the car then i drive already. return car that time just park at airport. what form also didnt fill in. who's the car owner i also duno >< good lesson to know your friend ma Added on April 11, 2012, 5:59 pm I also back from langkawi today, just reach home LOL QUOTE(imationCF @ Apr 11 2012, 03:32 PM) CAR RENTAL ISSUES! (Please read before you want to rent a car in langkawi) CAR RENTAL COMPANY : BRF TRAVEL AND TOURS SDN BHD (LOCATED ON THE MOST RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE JETTY) ONCE U RENT U WILL REGRET!! IM ONE OF THE VICTIM I am going back from langkawi today. I had a very bad experience in langkawi. I hope to share it out to all of you guys so that you can aware of that. I reached langkawi on sunday. once i arrived the jetty, there is no so call a lot of car rental agents rushing for you. I dont even see any of them.. After u exit the jetty u'll str8 enter a shopping center call langkawi fair ( SO call the biggest mall in langkawi) but i dont think is really big. ntg much in there.. once u exit the fair u will see your opposite is KFC then there is taxi service, ferry counter and also not to forget car rentals booth.. all at there. i walk to there once but no1 approach me, all i saw is travel agent booth. so i was curious where the heck is car rental service.. all of this is not found in this thread. so i walk back in to the fair to look for the car rental thingy again.. so i decided to walk back to the KFC there, then one malay guy come approach me for car rental. i told him i want to rent a viva auto.. then he quote me RM80 wtf... i told him i saw online only RM50. then he said no viva, offer me wira .. then i said ok. then i go pay at the counter while waiting for him to go tk the car... then he brought the wira come, is manual..i was like wtf. then i said i want an auto car not manual. then he said auto wira cannot RM50. he said RM60..I've no choice since i already paid.. haiz.. 1st lesson here: Never ever paid for the car rental 1st!! PAY only when u saw the car and is the car you request for only proceed for payment..!! I then went to the info counter, only know that all those car renting service are behind KFC...sweat. and yes, NEVER pay before you see the car. QUOTE(imationCF @ Apr 11 2012, 03:32 PM) then he bring me go take the wira at another parking site. once i reached there, the wira no. plate is KV 7818 B.. is 2-3 years old. and the outlook full of scratches.. haiz i was like wtf.. the bumper already cracked. then the guy keep said the car good condition one.. i've no choice since i already made payment..then i drive to airport to fetch my fren. the parking fee is RM2. after fetched my fren, i was about to reverse the car out, i accidentally knocked a kancil which park on the middle of the road. just scratch the door.. i have no choice since is my fault, so i paid RM150.. then i travel around langkawi.. for 3 days. when im going back that day, i return the rented car.. the guy said i knocked spoilt their bumper they ask me to pay. they bring me to the car garage, the tauke is chinese uncle.. he told me that u're so unlucky.. then luckily the uncle helped me.. thanks to him.. is so unfair for me to replace the bumper since he gave me the car on 1st hand the bumper already spoilt. and i only scratches abit.. the uncle said the bumper already got cement and nail b4.. no choice i need to pay RM280 to replace a new one. then the deposit the guy said cannot refund back. im like wtf..he said need go spray and bla bla bla.. like scamming business. i know im a student.. so they trying to scam me. i should hav mk a police report in the 1st place. at the car park at airport i no need to pay for the losses coz even u report the police have no authority to take action. but i dont want mk trouble. but they r getting over and over... really bad experience.!! 2nd lesson i learned: Never ever agree on renting a problem car!! means got scratches car even the guy said ok.. when u going to return that time u will face problem.. i also couldnt found any of this info in this thread.. Maybe im the most unlucky ones. Then he say he got myvi auto, RM80 but i say too expansive. The time i rent my car is around 9.30am, then i tell him i will return the car on around 12pm on Tuesday. Then he tell me give me RM280, and they count is 24hours de, so even if 5 days 4 nights only need to pay for 4 nites. Then, same as you, i was bought to their garage which got few cars there. I was shown a myvi SE, outside looks okay, and interior is cleaner than most of my friend car lol. The front bumper also pecah a bit liao, and got few scratches beside. The uncle say that bumper they know liao, then tell me even if got extra starches they won't mind too as long as it's not big one. He also asked me to look around and if got anything major tell him before i drive away. Then i noticed, it's not licensed car for rent since the roadtax is the same as normal car. but the uncle keep on say nvm since they got a shop there at jetty point. I trusted him and i am lucky that i did not met any road block for my 6 days 5 nights stay. The car i get is quite good, din't give me any problem. I terus kasi pump full tank when i get the car, then when return still left a bit, lol. I also bought the pulau payar package from them, hence on that day itself i went to pulau payar, i pass the key to the uncle, he help me go park, and after i am back from pulau payar, i just tell the lady that i want to get back my car key (and tell them the car plate) , they terus give me back, don't even ask any question of need receipt lol then i decided to extend 1 more day, so i call up and tell them lo. today when i return the car, i was 1 hour late. I return at 1pm, supposedly return at 12pm, so they charge me extra rm10, but then, they don't even bother to go check the car LOL so yea, imationCF, you are really really unlucky @@ This post has been edited by samlee860407: Apr 11 2012, 05:59 PM |

QUOTE(imationCF @ Apr 12 2012, 05:01 AM) just becareful when u're trying to rent the car.. no so call which part got problem form was given.. just a form mentioned your details.. car plate no. .. car in and car out time and signature .. thats all.. i also suspect the car i rented is unlicensed one because i dont see any sticker besides the roadtax one. but the guy keep saying theirs is got permit and keep say want to show me. i dont wan bother anymore. next time i will choose slowly and carefully.. see those malay guys i also got fed up.. want rent you that time anything also can discuss.. when return that time will pawn u kao kao.. i think the shape of the roax tax is different, if not mistaken it will have a hexagon shape road taxRemember BRF Travel and Tours sdn bhd.. spread out the news.. u will sure regret if rent from them.. |

Sharing my 6 days 5 nights at langkawi itinerary . Pictures will be on later post
Day 1: 9.30am - Arrive at jetty point langkawi 10.30am - Rented a car, and purchase pulau payar package from the same company (Iqmal) 11.00am - Reach Cenang beach. Have a simple breakfast and then purchase island hoping near AB motel (RM25 per person) 12pm to 6pm - Seven wells waterfall, pass by datai and the andaman, Black Sand Beach, Air Hangat Village, Bird Paradise and wildlife park, and also some beach when we pass by. 7pm or so - check in hotel asia at kuah, then dinner at kuah town. Too bad, it started to rain, and we have to cancel our trip to pasar malam, and just rest at hotel. Day 2: 7.00am - Checked out, headed straight to cenang beach. Breakfast at Nasi Kandar Tomato (bad bad), then go back AB motel wait for island hoping 1.00pm - back , lunch then check in hotel (four points by sheraton) 5.00pm - Hotel pool is superb , fool around then go dinner at Cenang again. Then back hotel start drinking session Day 3: 9.30am - Oriental village and cable car. Queue to go up takes almost 1 hour =.=' 1.00pm - Lunch and play go kart 3.00pm - Back at hotel and wait pickup from crystal yacht 4.15pm - head to crystal yacht (best activity for me in langkawi) 8.30pm - back to hotel Day 4: 8.00am - go to jetty point for pulau payar trip 4.30pm - Back to hotel and pool again 7.00pm - dinner at unkaizan. I then decided to extend 1 more night at langkawi. Day 5: 10.00am - purchase chocolates and liquor at coco valley 11.30am - lunch, then sent friend to airport 1.30pm - check in at malibest. Best location/view. The beachfront room is just superb. Directly in front is cenang, and you are just 2 steps to the beach from your room. Since it's the last day, i just want to do nothing, relax on beach while drinking. Hence we do nothing much, besides going for some massage at evening. I have such a great time by just laying on the bed while looking at people playing at the beach, or just sit at the beach looking at sunset...fun! Day 6: 11.30am - check out hotel and back to kuala kedah. 4.30pm - Just after i reach kuala jetty, received sms from friend regarding earthquake..... |

QUOTE(imationCF @ Apr 12 2012, 02:39 PM) Can you guys those went to langkawi recommend some car rental companies which is licensed and well manner? because i couldnt find any in this thread.. all i found is the rate.. all keep comparing how cheap is the car they manage to rented without telling the car rental company .. i browse thro this whole thread all i get is blacklisted car rental company is kasina , maystar and teluk yu.. but any good ones ? those who encounter good ones do share it to LYN forummers and also the bad ones.. Jetty and airport.. if i manage to get those info , i can help summarize out so that no more victims for tourists.. i find that the info in this thread is not sufficient enough.. especially for car rental.. Good idea. Maybe bro stimix can also help to post on 1st page too when more info are given BEWARE OF BRF TRAVEL AND TOURS SDN BHD (Located in most right hand side of Jetty).. they looking for food.. Anyway, I rent my car from Iqmal Travel & Tours. It's located on the left side when you walk straight out of jetty point (when you saw KFC) and towards the whole stretch of agents renting cars and sell tours |

We start our journey early at around 6am, and arriving at Kuala Kedah Jetty at around 7.05AM. I actually already bought my ferry ticket online, but then when I saw the earliest departing ferry is actually 7.15AM, I straight queue up and bought it. =.=’
![]() The ferry is just a small one, and everyone have to leave their luggage at a designated area, which is just a small place too. ![]() My car for the next few days.... spoiler for the process of renting since some i already mentioned few post ago » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « ![]() After 30 minutes, on top of seven wells..... ![]() The bottom part of seven wells..... ![]() And of course, coconut is the 1st thing to be bought once we are down there... ![]() Day 1 at Langkawi More to come soon... Also, service from the hotel is so so only, no room service and i think there's don't even a phone in the room.the toilet looks like motel style too BUT the perfect location at cenang beach, the great view from the room, and the room is located at the beach itself, to me, all of these is just so great Black sand beach and air hangat village ( see how good our money is being used for) Guess what is this? ![]() beautiful place ![]() but.....did you noticed something wrong? ![]() I am confused? Did i just visited indah water? ![]() Although many had warned me that I should just skip this 2 place, but I am thinking since this 2 tourist attraction is just located on my way back to Kuah town, I might as well just stopped by for 10 minutes. Hence, I will say the same thing too, this 2 place is just a waste of time if you purposely travel to and visit. But if you pass by them, might as well stopped by and see how well our tax money are being used for.
