And I actually stay at langkawi 6 days 5 nite!

No la, at 1st is plan 4nites nia. Then extend 1 more nite. 1st nite at kuah, 3 mites at four points, tonite at malibest hehe

Malibest beachfront or tree house is good

If u like, can prepare things and BBQ at cenang beach hehe

ImationCF, your experience of renting a car is very similar than me (without banging others) BUT its a total diff story . Mine is lucky but urs is not lol

Go check their webpage. I get their deluxe seafront room (which have awesome view) is RM180 per nite.

earliest ferry is 7.15am from kuala kedah. U reach langkawi also need 9.30am liao. Island hoping usually start at 9am, or 2pm. So you can opt for 2pm one.

Those beach activities very expansive one, banana boat is cheap, i think RM15 nia.

Most shop that sell alcohol sure got hire malay.

I also back from langkawi today, just reach home LOL

When I reach jetty point, there are just a few ppl approach me for rent cars but i just ignored them. I also can't find any rent car shops when KFC is right in front of me. Also no ppl approach me for car lol. Then I abit regret why before this i ignore those people that approach me.

I then went to the info counter, only know that all those car renting service are behind KFC...sweat.

and yes, NEVER pay before you see the car.


When i was there, a malay old uncle approach me. At 1st i thought i want suzuki alto, but they don't have. So they take me to another shop, but say rented out. SO nvm lo. that uncle tell me iswara RM50 nia, but manual. I don't want.

Then he say he got myvi auto, RM80 but i say too expansive. The time i rent my car is around 9.30am, then i tell him i will return the car on around 12pm on Tuesday. Then he tell me give me RM280, and they count is 24hours de, so even if 5 days 4 nights only need to pay for 4 nites.

Then, same as you, i was bought to their garage which got few cars there. I was shown a myvi SE, outside looks okay, and interior is cleaner than most of my friend car lol. The front bumper also pecah a bit liao, and got few scratches beside. The uncle say that bumper they know liao, then tell me even if got extra starches they won't mind too as long as it's not big one. He also asked me to look around and if got anything major tell him before i drive away.

Then i noticed, it's not licensed car for rent since the roadtax is the same as normal car. but the uncle keep on say nvm since they got a shop there at jetty point. I trusted him and i am lucky that i did not met any road block for my 6 days 5 nights stay.

The car i get is quite good, din't give me any problem. I terus kasi pump full tank when i get the car, then when return still left a bit, lol.

I also bought the pulau payar package from them, hence on that day itself i went to pulau payar, i pass the key to the uncle, he help me go park, and after i am back from pulau payar, i just tell the lady that i want to get back my car key (and tell them the car plate) , they terus give me back, don't even ask any question of need receipt lol

then i decided to extend 1 more day, so i call up and tell them lo.

today when i return the car, i was 1 hour late. I return at 1pm, supposedly return at 12pm, so they charge me extra rm10, but then, they don't even bother to go check the car LOL

so yea, imationCF, you are really really unlucky @@

i think the shape of the roax tax is different, if not mistaken it will have a hexagon shape road tax

Sharing my 6 days 5 nights at langkawi itinerary . Pictures will be on later post

Day 1:

9.30am - Arrive at jetty point langkawi
10.30am - Rented a car, and purchase pulau payar package from the same company (Iqmal)
11.00am - Reach Cenang beach. Have a simple breakfast and then purchase island hoping near AB motel (RM25 per person)
12pm to 6pm - Seven wells waterfall, pass by datai and the andaman, Black Sand Beach, Air Hangat Village, Bird Paradise and wildlife park, and also some beach when we pass by.
7pm or so - check in hotel asia at kuah, then dinner at kuah town. Too bad, it started to rain, and we have to cancel our trip to pasar malam, and just rest at hotel.

Day 2:
7.00am - Checked out, headed straight to cenang beach. Breakfast at Nasi Kandar Tomato (bad bad), then go back AB motel wait for island hoping
1.00pm - back , lunch then check in hotel (four points by sheraton)
5.00pm - Hotel pool is superb , fool around then go dinner at Cenang again. Then back hotel start drinking session

Day 3:
9.30am - Oriental village and cable car. Queue to go up takes almost 1 hour =.='
1.00pm - Lunch and play go kart
3.00pm - Back at hotel and wait pickup from crystal yacht
4.15pm - head to crystal yacht (best activity for me in langkawi)
8.30pm - back to hotel

Day 4:
8.00am - go to jetty point for pulau payar trip
4.30pm - Back to hotel and pool again
7.00pm - dinner at unkaizan. I then decided to extend 1 more night at langkawi.

Day 5:
10.00am - purchase chocolates and liquor at coco valley
11.30am - lunch, then sent friend to airport
1.30pm - check in at malibest. Best location/view. The beachfront room is just superb. Directly in front is cenang, and you are just 2 steps to the beach from your room.

Since it's the last day, i just want to do nothing, relax on beach while drinking. Hence we do nothing much, besides going for some massage at evening. I have such a great time by just laying on the bed while looking at people playing at the beach, or just sit at the beach looking at sunset...fun!

Day 6:
11.30am - check out hotel and back to kuala kedah.
4.30pm - Just after i reach kuala jetty, received sms from friend regarding earthquake.....

LOL. but we are not the only 1 there...wahha

when we reach, there are like 4 kids playing, and we have to wait for their session to end (i guess they are worried that we might hit them )

then while waiting, a group of people (5 of them) come too. so end up we have a good race among 9 of us...hehe

Anyway, I rent my car from Iqmal Travel & Tours. It's located on the left side when you walk straight out of jetty point (when you saw KFC) and towards the whole stretch of agents renting cars and sell tours

We start our journey early at around 6am, and arriving at Kuala Kedah Jetty at around 7.05AM. I actually already bought my ferry ticket online, but then when I saw the earliest departing ferry is actually 7.15AM, I straight queue up and bought it. =.=’


The ferry is just a small one, and everyone have to leave their luggage at a designated area, which is just a small place too.

don't expect much from the room itself, it's very very basic and quite old. Also, service from the hotel is so so only, no room service and i think there's don't even a phone in the room.

the toilet looks like motel style too

BUT the perfect location at cenang beach, the great view from the room, and the room is located at the beach itself, to me, all of these is just so great

I am confused? Did i just visited indah water?


Although many had warned me that I should just skip this 2 place, but I am thinking since this 2 tourist attraction is just located on my way back to Kuah town, I might as well just stopped by for 10 minutes.

Hence, I will say the same thing too, this 2 place is just a waste of time if you purposely travel to and visit. But if you pass by them, might as well stopped by and see how well our tax money are being used for.

when i want to buy my island hoping tix, the guy also tell me that island hoping if depart from kuah will be more expansive because it's located more far away

but end up you will still be visiting the same place

i think the shop selling island hoping in front of ab motel will close at around 9pm, because when i pass by at 8.30pm it still open

i got mine from ab motel

the other one (which is mine) departed at pantai tengah, near the lanai beachresort

for AB motel one, you need to gather in front of the hotel at the time

yes. you gather there, then take a van to pantai tengah, then take boat from there (without jetty so your legs will definitely be wet)

when back the boat will stop at another place (near awana), then take van balik AB motel


yesh....and they locked the ladies toilet up ....

air hangat village toilet is even more aweshum
