QUOTE(zstan @ Feb 16 2012, 11:50 AM) ^ datai bay and tanjung rhu are two totally different places leh. and the roads to datai bay very curvy and many tight cornerings one. you might wanna allocate more time for the journey. ahh i see. thanks for the info. yea, 1st day i plan to drive around langkawi , wana make like a round island trip, haha. also island hopping dun need so early larrr. i started at 9.30am and reached back around 2.30pm. very relaxed itinerary for island hoping/mangrove and pulau payar, i don't actually know around what time start. must go there liao only know, so just relax relax lo initially i plan 3 days 2 nites nia, but notice if 3D2N will be very rush, and can only choose 1 nia from island hoping/mangrove and pulau payar. so yea, end up extra 2 more nights, and hence my fren all say i crazy haha, but well, i think island visit shud be relax ma |

QUOTE(zstan @ Feb 16 2012, 12:03 PM) drive around langkawi a? that depends what is your definition of round la. some roads quite curvy one.. so if your passengers are prone to car sickness be careful lor hopefully i don't get lost then....wahhafor datai bay if possible try to sneak in in their resorts la. the datai was very strict but i managed to sneak in the andaman true also. i 4d 3n also a bit rush cause i got lost during my way to the air hangat hot springs. all the island stuff usually start at 9 la.. and trust me.. it's impossible to get up at 7am round as in drive from kuah to datai and tanjung rhu lo for 1st day, then 2nd day will be pantai kok and pantai cenang...haha. too long never go, not sure how it is liao. quite curvy as in like batu feringhi or? yea, seems the hotels are very nice , tempted to go but malu if kena halau =.=' well, i trust my body alarm very well, will auto wake up before 7.30am, but my gf...itu....i think susah. |

ahhh 30km, seems okay, but if curvy then sianz liao
wonder i go the datai from tanjung rhu better, or go to datai from pantai kok better...hmmmm from google map is pantai kok nearer la. 22km nia from 4 points by sheraton to the datai, but 30km from four seasons tanjung rhu to the datai. |

QUOTE(zstan @ Feb 16 2012, 04:58 PM) i total drove 400km plus leh..i even went to gunung raya... you really underestimate liao..haha... yea, i am always thinking langkawi is small...haha. hence was thinking how the hell u drive 400km there. after going google map again,i know why lol.although it's 30km but your average will probably be 60 only...if you are lucky can maintain 80.. but once you reach datai it's down to 20-40 for few km d.. Added on February 16, 2012, 5:00 pmdatai go from pantai cenang better..it's really really at the top left corner of langkawi d... i can even get thailand mobile reception for awhile!! ahh then i think i gona change my plan, either go datai or tanjung rhu nia, unless i got a lot of time , hoho. |

QUOTE(zstan @ Feb 20 2012, 03:46 PM) Can i conclude now? great and thanks LOL Water wise all almost the same. Be careful of jelly fish though. i almost swam into one at cenang. Sand smoothness Tanjung Rhu is the worst. Cenang & Datai equal. didn't manage to try pantai kok & tengah but should be more or less the same gua? but pantai cenang is more happening at night compared to the rest of the beaches. The waves at Four Points Resort that you will be staying at is much more calmer as there is a wave breaker located in front of the beach (about 800m-1km away). Some people would prefer this as well for relaxation as you won't hear the waves crashing on to do beach while you are resting beside. if so then i think i gona give tanjung rhu a skip liao, haha. i don't want to drive so much around |
