For sure you need Hong Kong$ but Macau no need. HK$ widely used in Macau. End of Feb shoulb be ~ CH/Genting weather.
For one person RM2K- enuf already. transport is reasonably cheap using MTR & in Macau hop-in to those free casinos shuttle buses however ferry ticket is not cheap. Only need to prepare for food. Avg HK$15- HK20/plate/pax/meal can liao This post has been edited by stimix: Feb 1 2012, 05:10 PM |

Aichiban, Do consider Shenzhen too on your other free days. Over there can visit Windows of the world & Mini China or something. You can even goto Guanzhou for look see...just an hour speed train ride away from Shenzhen.. Well the 1st speed train in China..Shenzhen-Guanzhou - 200km/hr

Unfortunately yes..but chinese VISA very easy to apply but not FOC like Japanese VISA, the last ~ RM58 last yr + RM30 runner fee if you ask travel agent to do it.
Added on February 14, 2012, 3:58 pmOne thing good.. You recover from staying in cheaper hotels in China rather than expensive hotels in HK & Macau. Instead of staying too long in Macau & China, my last trip there spending more days in China. I only spent 1 day in Macau & thereafter straight away to Zhuhai & stayed there. Thereafter a bus to Guangzhou (Now having MRT from Zhuhai to Guangzhou dy). and from Guangzhou to Shenzhen & thereafter to HK. This way, you enjoy all the latest Chinese marvel such as their bullet train, Metros & etc b4 reaching HK.. Visit more cities in Pearl river Delta & excape the expensive ferry tickets. Well it's more expensive than the hi-speed train ticket for sure.. This post has been edited by stimix: Feb 14 2012, 03:58 PM |

The runner is not for them to collect the passport & doc from your home but for them to courier/ transport the detail to China embassy lor..It's the same-lah.. Actually they also charging ~RM90 to me.. The ~RM58 is the VISA fee charged embassy (Unavoidable) and RM30 or more is the runner cost + the travel agent profit-lah haha
QUOTE(dopp @ Feb 15 2012, 08:27 AM) No runner, we have to deliver our passport to their office, $90 is inclusive of courier service down to china embassy. This post has been edited by stimix: Feb 15 2012, 11:32 AM |
