the specifications is really good. Give the company sometime, and they will compete with Edifier.

can someone enlighten me. What is meant by midrange frequency? i heard lot of talk about it is easy to find a pc speaker which have decent High and Low frequency but not midrange frequency. High frequency represent treble, low frequency represent bass, is it true?

I just got myself a 5.1 system (a what someone would call best bang for buck) the Logitech's X540. Somehow, listening to mp3 kinda make me regret but definitely worth it in games (Sound shock when monster/zombie attack from behind). I now need to DL FLACs instead of mp3 to get the most satisfaction in music listening.

You should DL from trustable website or you might get a conversion of Flac from mp3.

yeah, what i meant is some of the website (usually illegal downloading) provide a flac file which is actually a conversion from mp3 not from the CD or the original source.

I know there's a few sub RM100 2.1 speakers, but the nearest to RM100 is Sonic Gear Evo 3? But is it good? Anyone know any other 2.1 speakers around RM100 mark which is really good compared to its low price?

I heard Edifier is great for its subwoofer? But I need something for clarity, 320kbps audio playback, without noise in the background. Least possible biggrin.gif

Read this if you ever considered Sonic Gear's especially the Evo 3.

Looking for 2.1 speakers.

Budget not high... 120+-.

Considering Logitech X-210, Edifier M1335 and Altec Lansing BXR1121. Added... Creative SBS A300

Suggestions please. Just normal music listening+movie+gaming. No need real strong sound.
New into 2.1 speaker set. If base on brand... i will think altec lansing is better but i don't think i can choose based on brand. need ur commentss

Comments i found so far...
x-210: strong bass
bxr-1121: what i like is the aux port. Can connect my hp without disconnecting from laptop.
m1335: Saw a bass controller on the sub. I think it will be quite useful too. But... the size of the sub quite big
SBS A300:...
Haven't have a look on any of the speakers in any shop yet.

Please give some suggestion for other models with around the price range. Another thing is that... can anyone link me to any seller of sonic gear in lowyat? I can't really see any in garage sale.... I mean link me to the thread selling 'new' speakers only. THX!!

RM120 is pretty low for a good all-round speaker. But base on your need i think Logitech X-210 will do just fine.

Sien. quite lazy to go lowyat. I found there too messy for me... Too many shops and everything is like not arranged... Hope coming pc fair got these models. i wanna try out.
If you think lowyat is messy, i think KL PC Fair is far more messy.

Aego M is your best choice for music. Beside that AE have high reputation and well known in HiFi world.

Just went to LowYat to do some auditioning just now.

It was pretty hard to hear as they're mostly playing crap music with either heavy metal or boring bass oriented dance hiphop stuff.
But in between, there are a few songs that is actually music, from which i can at least try to derive some opinions.

Edifier RL19000III - Frankly, not impressed at all....sound is way too muffle.

Creative T-3 - Quite impressive. I think it's the best of the lot of all the speakers there...but of course, price also very best.  doh.gif

Sonic A5 and A7 - Can't manage to hear much stuff as most are bass/heavy metal stuff when i try this. But the A7 does sounds better, IMO. But the sub is way too freaky big....sweat.gif
I dunno if it's just me...i've never been impressed with any Edifier speakers.....i tried auditioning them a while back....not impressed then, not impressed now. Hmm....

Too bad there's no Creative T20 or T40 on demo....sigh...

i didn't see any Aego M speakers either...hardly any of the big stores carry this?? hmm.gif

i'm sure the crap you heard not true heavy metal. It certainly some screamo or punk goes whatever cover band.

that is common problem when you turn on equalizer along with treble on your speaker. Try turn off the equalizer or your speaker treble. Even Death Magnetic pierce my ear when my C3 set to treble +3 + Realtek rock eq setting. But now my C3 is history, i upgraded.

My young uncle said "kalau x gne feature X-FI (Crystalizer, CMSS, 3D etc.) baik xyah gne X-FI". Well maybe he is right but he is a gamer so he can care less when it come to music. But for me if you insist on music or sound production you should seek another alternative. Usually the brand that we rarely hear they are much better than mainstream brand.

Edifier might sound like cheap @ss multimedia speaker for the most people because they not paying much to the websites and magazine to do a 5/5 or 10/10 product review.

that is my point, Edifier never get the same spotlight like Creative, Altec Lansing and Logitech did in big name PC mags and site review such as Amazon, CNET etc. Those western people think Edifier as a cheap China brand speker while discredit that AL, Creative and Logitech also made from China factory.

i'm not sure if the M1335 is upgrade from e2100. For me it is downgrade because my friend have it and for me it sound not so nice. Lack of high and mid. Like listening to a cheap speaker with EQ tuned to bass, very muddy sounding.

M1335 bass is very muddy, the kick drum from any metal sound wouldn't sound good and the thump isn't there. You might want to upgrade your budget or choose other brand. But hardly you can find good RM200 PC speaker without expense of something.

another unsatisfying C3 user. Edifier take note, improve your product especially the subwoofer.

Perhaps he just want better?
Unless u saying that onboard is better..

I see lot of people keep saying which sc is better to paired with C3, then something must be wrong there.
A good PC Multimedia usually sound good even on onboard. I see lot of people complain it is lack of bass too.
