QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 3 2010, 02:35 PM) As an alternative , use the free Google Maps BRUT version 14. It is excellent and has voice navigation. I particularly like the direction instructions which appear on top. Now version 16 liao lor! haha Yeah I am using google maps brut also, got good got bad compared to papago. I especially like how I can store the address in the contacts there, and straight away navigate from it, instead of saving as location in papago and have to remember to backup/restore.

Yeah, happened before on my HTC Magic also, it might have to do with bad GPS signals, and papago constantly trying to snap the car into a road.

QUOTE(MasterMosquito @ Sep 15 2010, 01:53 PM) Hey I just downloaded Papago X5, and when it starts, it has this IMEI and CODE thing. So what do I enter in the CODE section? Or do I just go trial? You have to pay M3ASIA and then they will tell you what to put in the CODE section.

QUOTE(chintmy @ Nov 11 2010, 01:34 PM) Hi, I got this problem. I am travelling from PJ (1 Utama) to Puchong using LDP. After passing SS2, the navi asked me to turn in to Taman Megah. You know the road leading to come out near Western Digital one. It's funny as can use LDP all the way which my garmin works. It is much faster to use LDP rather turning into smaller roads. I am using default setting (Vehicle - recommended). Anyone facing this kind of issue before? Thanks for the feedback, Thomas Yeah, me too, until frustrated with papago sometimes, I face it when on Kesas. You know sometimes go straight already, then there's a ramp on the left hand side, that you can go up, then got traffic light, then can turn left or right. This papago, it ask me to go up the ramp, then go straight in the traffic light, might as well I don't use the ramp. Dunno why its like that, garmin never does that and neither do google maps. What made it worse is that papago is usually very zoomed in, so I can't see that actually it ask me to go straight at the traffic light when I am at the ramp.

QUOTE(zainframe @ Nov 23 2010, 06:54 PM) Thanks bro, it's pretty confusing - I cant find any info on Google so far for example how do I search for the address below: lot 27 Jalan SL 10/3 Taman Indah Bandar Kinrara 333333 Kuala Lumpur - it's a bogus address This is one of the reasons why I am using Google Maps instead now..

QUOTE(hangy2k @ Dec 17 2010, 11:00 AM) oh, never try that.. i try my default google navigation, it said my country is not yet available for navigation You need to install the bruts version (but its still at version 4 though) here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=630887I am using it as my main navigation now instead of papago, mainly because of its reroute feature, when I see a junction ahead, and turning right is all jammed up, I can just check google maps whether there's an alternative route that I can use to turn left. Papago, dunno how to do this.

QUOTE(phantz @ Apr 3 2011, 01:06 PM) hmmm..i get 3 gps in view in my gps test.. but papago still cant lock on to the gps Added on April 3, 2011, 6:05 pmif i buy the papago from here m3shoppe i need to use the micro sd provided everytime i want to use papago? Hmm, sdcard, my nexus doesn't have sdcard slot. I bought the papago also at RM99 during last year's PC Fair, and it doesn't come with any sdcard, the license is tied to imei number, which sucked a bit, I am in the process of trying to get them to transfer the license to my new nexus from my previous phone magic. I think the only thing good about papago is the updated maps, I am sure there are other softwares that does better in other areas.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Jun 18 2011, 12:00 AM) Sygic Aura is now on ver 11.0.1 already - best of all the price is only Euro 9.99 ( spore/Msia ) ; previously few months back was Euro30. Worth buying now Interesting, euro 10 is definitely worth it, cheaper than papago. How about the maps? Are they updated? And does this tie to gmail or imei?

QUOTE(benny888 @ Jun 21 2011, 08:14 PM) When you make a purchase, SYGIC will send you an email with a 16 digit product code. Then you need to activate it either through internet or manually ( its website has the details how to do it ) : enter product code, device code ( imei) and you wil be given another 12 digit activation code. Wjhen you launch the app - it will show 7 days free trial - input in the 12 digit code and is registered The Maps update is by downloading with phone - so far I have no problems/issues with the maps. What I do, every month I just update it from the phone. Even my place which is a small town, I noted all the roads are listed. I find it very much better than Papago X5 Hmm, so its tied to IMEI, which is a put off, same as Papago, I much prefer they do it following Android Market instead. Save me hassle when I change phone! Can you enter coordinates for navigation in this sygic?

QUOTE(justme @ Aug 5 2011, 01:15 PM) Samsung android phones seems to have poor gps reception. my galaxy 5 many times requires at least 15-20minutes to get a fix and quite often unable to get a fix at all. Side by side I have a Garmin GPS60CSX and it gets a fix in under 30 secs. Can anyone tell me which android phone - htc, google, etc has a fast satellite fix (without using AGPS) - because I do trekking and many times the phone signals are already bad so cannot rely on AGPS. As I know only SGS have gps issues, my Nexus S which is from Samsung also doesn't. Probably your garmin have a bigger antenna being a standalone gps receiver.

QUOTE(CuriOu5 @ Aug 9 2011, 05:12 PM) Try Sygic Navigation. It has more functions then the lamed Papago X5 for android. Very nice UI. When its released in android market and don't need me to re-request when I change phone, I will.
