QUOTE(zamans98 @ Nov 12 2009, 10:29 PM) just don't understand why there is a big CONCERN by few ringgit worth.. unless you are a scalper. yup, agree with you. Take the 10k any buy a dividend stock and the return is better than the saving in commission... RM12 vs RM8.88, is is relative. I will rather use the RM10,000 and invest elsewhere then wanna save few ringgit on the transaction fee. Remember the concept of TVM (time value of money) |

Hmmmm.... I never really consider much about the brokerage fees as I'm just a small fish. However, next time when I become a shark
So you guys are saying that Jupiter has the cheapest fees? How to apply? This post has been edited by kmarc: Nov 12 2009, 11:06 PM |

QUOTE(Babablacksheep @ Nov 12 2009, 11:07 PM) I see. Found their website.Just one question, do they have an account when you can deposit your money there (I want a cash account)? You know, so that the settlement will be automatically deducted from that account on T+3? This post has been edited by kmarc: Nov 12 2009, 11:11 PM |

The 10K need not necessary be kept in the freezer just to get RM 8.88 for the brokerage fee.The 10K can be used to make a purchase transaction to enjoy RM 8.88. However whatever you purchase must then be sold by T+3 in order to enjoy RM 8.88 for the sale transaction too It all depends on whether you are a short-term/mid-term/long-term player. |

QUOTE(okw0809 @ Nov 12 2009, 10:55 PM) Yala...it all depends on individual. If Itrade is the best or Jupiter is the cheapest, then others will close shop. Yes, others might be closing shop soon, that's the reason why M2U has been offering promotional rate since 1 year ago of 0.1%, before was 0.42%. This new rate started when many platforms were offering low commision to vie for clients. Otherwise, many of their customers will be willing to shift their funds for a better deal to save commission costs . Why pay extra for a same transaction when you can save obviously?Depends on individual's strategy, background, character and other services required. I had been paying 0.42% all the while until 3 months ago where I learnt about the new rate from a friend. So, I informed my dealer that if I as an old customer still have to pay 0.42% , I want to shift to another platform, then , instantly she revised my rate to 0.1%(min :$8) |

When I opened my M2U account, I was fortunate to get the "online stock incentive" promotion when I think the rate is 0.1% or RM8. However, I thought the promotion had already ended?I had been paying 0.42% all the while until 3 months ago where I learnt about the new rate from a friend. Going to call maybank soon to 'threaten' to shift to another platform.... |

May some of us oredi heard off....
Maxis fast tracked into the KLCI. FTSE has indicated that following Maxis’ listing on 19 Nov, it will be fast tracked into the FBM KLCI and will be included from 20 Nov. The shares in issue of 7.5bn would have an investability weighting of 30%. Maxis will replace Malaysian Airline System (MAS) as a KLCI component. Poor guy MAS..... PI stock to watch. Attached File(s)
