Is Dark Souls similar to Monster Hunter? Memorizing moves and dodging them whilst dealing damage to the enemy?

i wouldnt say similar... dark soul or demon soul have this satisfying feeling after slaying the enemy lol..

about memorizing part, well, i do memorize a bit, but its not that helpful.. theres more to unexpected things happened and you die =_= and you dont always dodge in demon/dark soul, you can shield too, depending on character build and play style..

all in all, they are different game.. play it, and you'll see..

its annoying when u dodge or roll... u'll end up falling from the cliff or into a hole. funny... but annoying.

i think asia ver might delay or cancel if Fromsoftware cant solve the problem..

it will hang when playing it.. or else destroy ur hdd and have to reformat it..

Thinking of buying Dark Souls day one. Noob question here.

Which should I buy? R1 or R3?

My main PSN ID is Malaysian one. So if I buy the R1 version, will I be able to play in R1 server?

This is assuming that the game's multiplayer will be region locked. Is it?
