QUOTE(masao343 @ Nov 16 2009, 11:45 AM) now tat is very informative, thanks! Wira 1.6 above have 4 gears, the 4th being overdrive and the ratio is freaking longso L only utilize the lowest gear? wah... genting climbing so wira 1.6 AT has "3" also la? Imagine you at 180km/h, then downshift to overdrive gear, the rpm only at 4000rpm ~_~ Tried be4, no power to pull at all at 4th, so maintain 3rd all the way at 6.5K rpm at 185km/h |

Geez, today went to check
Confirmed rear caliper have to change, inside rusted like ballz and the piston jam.....and the best of all is THE PRICE OF A FREAKING 1.6 REAR CALIPER IS LIKE CLOSE TO RM400 CHOP SHOP!!! 1#$!#%!#^@$& NEW 1 EVEN WORSE, >RM1000 This is BLASPHEMY!!! So those with rear disc brakes, better take care of it, its damn painful to even source for a used caliper, don't say new 1 ~_~ How will the gomen think, ban imported used parts?? RM1500 for a new 1.6 rear caliper each? More than half of my monthly salary, dammit!!! Not only that, my brake pad also jammed till habis, changed new brake pads also Then wiper also KOed as well, changed the mechanism at the bottom, wah liao......overbudget this month, sigh |

kazami, talk is easy.....once you experienced it then you know the damage, plus converting to drums do need $$$$ as well plus I am freaking broke. If drums are that good, 1.3 and 1.5 owners won't even bother to change to disc brakes and the price won't skyrocket till its current price now ~_~ Yours is a suggestion and I appreciate it but the price is utterly bullshit
Maddriver even better, what drum bakes, take off the whole rear brake system Oxigen, yes those crazy numbers are for a stock 1.6 rear caliper each only (used is RM400 each, new is RM1500 each), brake pads you get it yourself Anyway, cheeann, thx for sourcing out 1 used 1.6 rear caliper for me. Owe you a lot on this. Treat's on me This post has been edited by shinjite: Nov 16 2009, 11:56 PM |

L gear depends on the ratio of the GB and also redline
For 1.6, L till 6.5k, is around 70km/h adi.....1.5 can go till 7k for injection This post has been edited by shinjite: Nov 22 2009, 12:22 AM |

QUOTE(masao343 @ Nov 24 2009, 08:39 AM) wira stock extractor is 4-1 You talking about 1.5 or 1.6 and above?wiraSE stock is 4-2-1 i changed mine from 4-1 to 4-2-1 and i think the biggest impact is the torque is distributed more evenly across the rpm range now. previously it seems all the power is spread over a narrow band at very low rpm, forcing me to upshift very early, and power drops very fast as the rpm climbs. i'd suggest you go for 4-2-1 extractor. Mine 1.6 1993 original header comes in 4-2-1, saw it myself Bigger aircond compressor, bigger load, heavier BUT much much colder This post has been edited by shinjite: Nov 24 2009, 10:35 AM |
