i think, it's because of mechanical design of the gearbox. to prevent you from entering 1st gear when the tyre speed doesnt match your engine rev speed. i say this, because from gear 5 , and shift to 2, there isnt any prob (of coz with your clutch on). but on 2 to 1 (2 at high speed), we cant shift it in easily de.. unless you use force la.. or slow down the car until it feels light to shift in 1.
*
interesting point, bro... btw, heard its also possible to shift without using clutch, but dare not try notworthy.gif

huhuhu... i pernah try also.. but is accidentally.. then the sound kkrrraaaakkk came out.. kekkekeke.. takut gearbox pecah..
*
aiyo...sounds like heartbreaking (coz sayang car mah)
i dare not try. got few times, *almost* happened because i didnt push the gear stick all the way, i removed clutch pedal. luckily the gear still engaged smoothly tongue.gif

QUOTE(alvinz @ Nov 5 2009, 02:55 PM)
masao, seems that ur bullet is quite long around 18" i think ... and ur exhaust still loud? ...
the unker that fitted in my muffler say adding 1 more 15" bullet to my current piping + 12" bullet will reduce 30% of the noise ... performance wise still not sure ...
yesterday finally i give up on the muffler jor. really cant bear with the noise anymore.
went to marco and got an S-flow with twin-tip muffler. cost me 280 including installation.
doesnt look as good as my previous muffler (the tip not long anough to my taste... adoi) but the sound is nice now, i'm happy! its still "masculine" sound but not loud and irritating. when accelerate really hard, there is this metallic droning sound (maybe someday i go record it to share) but doesnt happen unless i step suddenly hard, so i still OK with it lor. my old muffler... now trying to sell cheap cheap, coz storeroom no space jor (stock + straight muffler now both taking up too much space in my tiny storeroom).

QUOTE(kelvinlys @ Nov 6 2009, 12:13 AM)
Seriously lighten flywheel will reduce top speed?  sad.gif
*
not reduce, but need gas constantly to "maintain" the speed.
its like, once u remove your feet from gas pedal, the car slows down very fast.
might be good for braking, but bad for FC in a way.
also, if you climb uphill (or even climbing up slopes for parking, etc) u will hate it when u gearshift.
if go up genting, u kena keep revving the car else car stops and when u stop the gas, lol.

QUOTE(alvinz @ Nov 6 2009, 02:23 AM)
har? .. i didnt know got this type of muffler le ...
unless u mean this,
[attachmentid=1288558]
which cost RM400 .. cry.gif
*
got got... my ex-straight flow is liddat one. cant see thru eventho is straight flow, but if poke a wire, will go through from tips mouth till the connection area. its still loud.... maybe coz my muffler's "body" too small, so cant absorb all the noise? hmm.gif
i sell u my muffler, wan? hehe.... cheap cheap can jor, clearing store room.

guys, i find that of all the gas i tried, i'm settling for ESSO Synergy.
very happy with the Synergy97, today i bravely try Synergy95 rm50... very smooth! acceleration smooth without rough sounds, i love it! so far the only petrol havent really try is BHP and Mobil (coz hard to find the gas station in my area)

oic..then i must change the knuckle to use this rim right..
*
not worth it. changing knuckles involve too much work for a set of OEM rims!
might as well go buy PCD100 rims which you actually like.

QUOTE(hariz_ex5 @ Nov 9 2009, 01:08 AM)
cannot drill ka that fake holes..
*
not safe. later rims crack, u will cry... whole car slide on tarmac

p/s: lately saw some modified OEM alloy rims in mudah.my.
i hope the buyer knows what he is getting lei.
most of these modified rims are actually trimmed or skimmed rims of OEM proton rims.
i wonder if the structural integrity is still intact after those skimming. dangerous yo... hmm.gif

eh, seriously. those who have already converted to GSR/mivec/turbo engines... after the ban on imported spare-parts takes into effect, are you worried if you need to find parts to repair the engine?

ya lor, i read in BMW forum, they are already making noise about this new ruling.
these cars parts will be harder and more expensive to find, especially older models that are almost classic, but not classic yet. WTF man

QUOTE(Kyusuke_FD3S @ Nov 9 2009, 09:20 PM)
hi guys ...
my house got 2 wira ...
1997 wira and 2002 wira ...
1997 wira air cond compressor is petco (if i didnt spell wrong the brand name)
2002 wira air cond compressor is denso
my air cond foreman said petco one, when ur car is not moving under the hot sun, ur air cond is hard to be cold ... (i really feel what he said is correct, i checked the gas is fully filled) he suggest me to change denso one ...
dont know want to change or not ...
my house 2002 wira ... is damn cold even under the hot sun.
*
mine is APM same as kazami. anyway, my perodua uses denso, and its expensive when service or repair!
but no doubt, denso is a good brand name. anyway, regarding your problem, i experience it before when my compressor started "leaking" (means dont compress air as good as new), so when the car is idle and it is hot outside, the AC will not be cold. the long term solution is change compressor, but here's the short-term solution - press the gas pedal a little bit. example, if you idle is 1k RPM, press the gas pedal to 1.2k RPM. it will turn the compressor faster(?) and the AC will be cold again. hope this helps.

QUOTE(kazami @ Nov 9 2009, 09:37 PM)
my wira was using apm at the while...
which is cheaper than PATCO and Denso..
denso is the most expensive..
if u bring to the denso dealer to repair, they will charge u even more cause the carry the dealer name
*
nod.gif fully agree. that time recond compressor from denso already cost rm300 sweat.gif

QUOTE(pergilahsayang @ Nov 10 2009, 01:59 AM)
My wira got problem eh. Whenever drive over 100km/h for some quite time, the meter show the engine light. I dunno whats matter. Any1 have this experience? I do check the oil level and no modification to the meter at all. If the problem only regarding the sensor then its fine. izzit?

Mine is Wira earoback 1.3 bought year 2002
*
this means you need the advise from ALVIN! he experienced it before, for a long time too.
talk to the man thumbup.gif
