The Board of Directors of TA Enterprise Berhad (“the Board”) wishes to announce that the Company has acquired 2,145,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each representing 30% of the equity interest in TA Futures Sdn Bhd (“TAF”) for a total consideration of RM4,905,000.00 on 22 November 2013 (“Acquisition”).




TAF was incorporated on 14 April 1995 as a private limited company in Malaysia (Company No. 340271-W) pursuant to the Companies Act, 1965. The authorized and issued share capital of TAF is RM10,000,000.00 divided into 7,145,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each and 2,855,000 Cumulative Redeemable Preference Shares of RM1.00 each. Its principal activity is licensed futures and options broking. Currently, the Company is holding 70% equity interest in TAF. Pursuant to the Acquisition, TAF shall be a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company.




None of the Directors, substantial shareholders and/or persons connected with them has any direct or indirect interest in the aforesaid acquisition.




This announcement is dated 22 November 2013.

Wonder what is Datok Tiah intention as every few days, he'll buy 50,000 or 100,000 shares from the open market.

We refer to the notification by Datuk Tiah Thee Kian, the Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman of the Company, on 24 February 2014 of his intention to deal in securities of the Company during closed period.

Share close at RM0.775 today. He must have thought his company shares is under-priced now, else he would have spent tens of thousands of RM every few days buying shares from the open market.

Maybe he has a plan later to boost up the share price so he can make big profits on his holdings. So should we also throw in some money to buy some shares now ?

Anyway, IMO looking at the latest qterly results, the share in under-price as NAS of RM1.74 is more than double the current share price of RM0.775. For the 1st 3 qters of the financial year gives a EPS of 6.3 cents, so annualized is 8.4 cents, giving a PE ratio of just 9.2. IMO, the share is worth min RM1, based on these 2 stats.
