if you opt for the non RM8 annual fee option, then yes
basic savings acc can hv 8 free withdrawal, but not sure whether can opt for debit card with that account

hi muddie, I'm interested with the PowerPay SA. Few questions:
1) Is it COMPULSORY to credit my salary into the account or initiate online transfer MONTHLY?
2) Does it come with an ATM/debit card or just ATM only?
3) The ATM/Debit card is free for life?
4) The cash rebate of 7% for petrol is applicable for the above ATM/Debit card until end of Jan 2011?
5) Must I also open the Saadiq $aver-i account at the same time?

I'm currently holding e$aver account and also JustOne. Sorry for so many questions.

when u apply the debit card, did you ask for non annual fee option, ie no unlimited atm withdrawal option?
you can still go to the branch you applied or any other branch and ask for change of option and refund

if your account is dormant, ie no withdrawal in the last 12 months, then you will need to activate it back at the counter
and most likely will deduct RM10

hehe, he gave it to me on the spot
but can't use until the account has been activated, which you'll know when u see the account added to the online banking

if not mistaken, most of the debit cards in malaysia do not offer overdraft
anyway, the receipt most likely did not print out the full debit card number, so you should be safe
