Does anyone have problem with RHB Cash Connect Debit Card in Metrojaya/Jusco? I had experienced where Jusco didn't accept the card as the transaction will be very hard to go through, same case with Metrojaya.

Yes. But they will deduct RM300 from your account first, regardless how many petrol you fill in your tank (definitely the value must be less than RM300). The balance of you money will go to your account back within 3 days.

I got a EON Bank debit mastercard
I've use it without any problems in past year, since the first blocking, I called them, unblocked, and make a transaction

then again, they block it,

I called them and ask in detail, the staff told me that I've to call them for confirmation before I can use the card to make any internet transaction, such as Steam or Paypal,

Why before I could use them without any problems, now it limits my card??

I also asked for removing the limitation, but I couldn't, I must set a number of times to be used "in the day I called them" to unblock it,

which means, if i say 5 times, and actually i only use 2-3 times in that day, after that, I can't not use the card anymore, Have to call them back for another request

if i must have a limitation, at least set number of times or amount i can use for a month or longer period, but it has to be the day i make the request
is that true? other bank debit card got same case???

You can consider THIS. This VISA debit card has better acceptance than VISA Electron and you also do not have to keep RM25 deposit inside the account the entire time. Besides, you also do not have to worry about the annual fee as this PBB-ESSO VISA debit card is totally free.

i had two bad experiences last weekend..

1st case 1710, 28Nov
purposely having dinner @ KFC & ordered over rm30 to enable me 1 transaction of debit mastercard promotion of free night stay in genting.

before that i ensure there's mastercard logo accepted @ the KFC's door & there's no notice that they couldnt accept card.

the moment i handed them my card (alliance bank debit mastercard), they gelabah already said card cannot laa.. i said try first... then the cashier tried...& it certainly not working.... i gave my Citibank Visa Debit ATM.... also cannot... then i used cash to settle it... missed opportunity there... if i know i would rather eat at mamak then...

i keep the receipt & requested their manager a Feedback form... now i want to forward the complain to mastercard & visa...

2nd case 1641, 29Nov
this time @ mydin jln masjid india k.lumpur, I purchased groceries total of RM43... i handed my alliance bank debit mastercard... the cashier proceeded with payment, but the merchant terminal keep give msg "Processing Card"... After few tries also still processing card...again i gave my Citibank Visa Debit ATM... still the same thing happened... 

end up paid using cash again... missed opportunity again... Mastercard & Visa promotions & (rebates/points)...

i want to ask Mastercard/Visa how reliable their debit card are? its not card or chip issue since in between that two events I successfully swiped @ petrol station, SOGO & hotel & my funds more than enough even with pre-authorized been applied to my card... today also i swiped successfully....
so 3 parties i want to address the complain should be:
1) merchants (KFC, MYDIN)
2) banks
3) Visa/Mastercard

when transaction didnt go through & took long time, i sometime felt embarrassed... did u all feel the same ?? sure peoples queuing up behind us said "why dont use cash...faster...dont have money kaa ??"

I think only debit cards from certain banks come with such feature. For instance, Hong Leong Bank VISA debit card.
She has a strong case to be worried. This is because many banks have started to offer a debit card that is linked to your savings or current account instead of a regular ATM card.

You should only either go for Maybank or Public Bank. I personally would recommend Public Bank ESSO/Mobil VISA debit card because :
- it doesn't have any annual fee
- free cash withdrawals at any Public Bank ATM
- confirmed can be verified at Paypal
- only 12-year-old to qualify
- a monthly statement for you to keep track of your spending
- 0.5% cash back on all purchases and 1% cash back when you pump petrol at ESSO/Mobil (you probably won't need this but you can still apply for this card)

Done. This list is still not complete though. Anyway, will do it next time.

No Monthly fee but RM30, Annual fee for Allicance bank Unique prepaid mastercard, right? This card is annoying

I got the card last week .. but the PIN number still not arrive until now .

How long will it takes for the pin to arrive ?
Or can go to the branch and ask for the pin ?

i'll & i'll complaint via free method since my outstanding now is only rm6... i'll walk in straight go to the bank, ask them regards to this matter and if they said must call card centre, i'll tell them i would want to use bank's phone to call their card centre...  i dont want to lose any single cent to them anymore...

I have a question. I'm going to Italy next month and I do not wish to bring too many cash along. The problem is that I don't have any credit card. My gf has applied for maybank visa debit. I wonder if I can borrow her card while I'm traveling in Italy for visa payment or ATM withdrawal? Is there any procedure I need to follow?

any idea which debit card i should get? i heard affin banks' debit card isn't recognized for online transactions or something like that. what about UOB's? any recommended debit cards?

i think imma go for PBB but now there is another problem at the PBB website i saw my own COLLEGE also got debit card TARC debit card  should i go for that?
