wii will always be different because of he wii exclusives. ps3 will have its own motion contol next year. but nothing of inrerest so far. semua wii copy cat. only the fighting game is unique, but that also its not 1 to 1 (meaning its predefined move base on certain gestures u perform). so, what sony showed last gdc on motion games are boring so far.

ultimately..let the games decide..which console hv most of the games u want? heck, put even the pc into the equation for that

Well, I didn't buy the Wii, my brother did, he wanted something the whole family can enjoy.

then i promise u he made d right choice. u have a wider choice of family games on d wii. and the excellent ones are mostly wii exclusives u can't find on other consoles.

Watever it is, wii succed to show tat gaming isnt a bad thing at all *even to a 8 till 50 years old people*

I buy wii because I wanted to try motion control playing since I hvebeen playing with buttons for so many years, time for a change. Also, I am actually quite the nintendo die hard fan type and really liked to play nintendo made games. And it's also the cheapest of them all.

Wii and DS wins cuz of the extreme cute family freindly design and advert approach... Parents allow their kids to play cuz u dun need parental control..U dun need to watch out at what they play or even they curi curi buy game.. The games available are just for kids even though some of the game are indeed epic.. but too less... To gurls they look very in! yay... Moving around with their "suprb" looking body.. Even nicole kidman love DS~~ It just look like pda...

PS3 are trying to make it more approachable but the price is too high and it looks bit hardcore to girls.. Cuz its black and not slick..

XBOX on the hand are too manly, hardcore and violent...

hehe. u funny. but yeah, when i play alone, i like my games with lot of blood, gory, and disgustingly evil. if got hentai in there even better. dono y, maybe just my manly hormones at work. but if i with my kids i play those primary colored games. all consoles have its place. but i wish just one console can cater for all - save money

is a family entertainment for me and my family :-D

XBOX 360 just launch KINECT. wonder how well it will beat Wii. I heard PS3 also have similar stuff named MOVE. So lets wait and see.

let me see:
kinects: good for dancing, the rest gimmicky.
move: overall goodness. but shine in position sensitive game types. but for most part its just a wii hd
wii: overall goodness, some game types would be better on move, and they are kind of 1.5 years ahead.

so my perdictions: kinects would die (who would want to pay so much just to dance), move will gain some market share from wii. but wii although less market share will still lead. winner wii.

We've got Just dance and Just Dance 2. Clunky, but sold 3 million copies. Funny eh?

It's just a better value-for-money entertainment.

Do the math:
I got my Wii for RM400 (my friend sold his Wii from a lucky draw)
Bought a 1TB hdd + usb cable for RM250
Used my old 2GB SD Card & my used usb keyboard
No need to pay for modchips (softmodding is easy, plays 95% of the games, and actually important too - bootmii!!!)

With wii homebrew, I have a media player, complete with streaming videos from my upstairs pc, Wii with Opera Internet channel, and a few WADs, and Wii Config USB Loader to load hundreds of Wii games from the harddisk, complete with description, cover, image, cheatcodes.

So for RM650, I got a machine that plays DVD, surf the net, watch and stream my downloaded videos, plays tons of games for every single kind of gamer out there (parents, kids, hardcore, rpgers, old school, etc). For something that costs as much as a media center, but can do so much more, I'm not complaining at all

picture this: u go on a vacation , but not intending to go out a lot, or just balik kampung. wii + 2 remote + 1 hdd + power cable is very, very small in size. and the 1TB hdd + wii with SD slot can transfer pics from videocameras and SLRs, and straigth away watch the slideshow pics & videos on the TV. How many times have u wished u got some way to transfer the SLR pics to a harddisk, but too lazy to bring a laptop? Wii is COMPLETE

oh btw, the Wii remote & nunchuck allows me to play a game while hugging someone for those who had never tried this, you're missing out a lot like, seriously!!!

oh come on...u can do this while playing with other console's controller too

it's dangerous to hug ppl while u're playing warioware though

for wiimote there is a cable between d left hand and right. u can use that cable in many creative ways.
